Notice

edit

Regarding your recent revert without an edit summary or a rationale on the talkpage of the article 2008 Bucharest summit (after my reply), please be aware of the following:

In a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user working on articles concerning the Balkans. Before any such sanctions are imposed, editors are to be put on notice of the decision. This notice is not to be taken as implying any inappropriate behaviour on your part, merely to warn you of the Arbitration Committee's decision. Thank you.

Thanks. NikoSilver 21:17, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Talk:Macedonians (ethnic group). Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. moved from my talkpage for preserving continuity:

Niko I was unaware that I had made an attack. Several times I have read that we have Bulgarian origin, so how is it an attack that I state Macedonian Greek origin? I will try to avoid attacks in the future, but please make sure those who do the same thing are also called out on it. Maktruth (talk) 21:16, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, I don't appreciate calling my country "New Macedonia" on your homepage, that is not what we call ourselves and you have changed the name into your liking. Maktruth (talk) 21:28, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Other then that you seen like a good guy, nice to meet you. Maktruth (talk) 21:30, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re attack, no worries, it's just a standard templatized talk message so that you familiarize yourself with policy. Calling someone "thick in the head", doesn't exactly abide by WP:CIVIL. Oh, and I always warn the other side, don't worry. NikoSilver 22:34, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re New Macedonia, it is merely my favorite way of disambiguating Macedonia (country) from Macedonia (province) or Macedonia (region). I hope it doesn't offend you or anything, and I don't mean to use it in an offensive way. Read my first message on top of my talkpage to understand that I do it for all Macedonias [sic] (including "mine"). BTW the specific term has never been cited as "offensive" by any source, and is also among the most prominent proposals for solving the Macedonia naming dispute (so that we can all go on with our lives). Be sure it offends many more Greeks than (New) Macedonians (and, if anyone, the Greeks are exactly the ones I aim to offend :-)). If you check my userpage history, you'll see that the box on the right with the three proposals was posted well before official Greece accepted to back down from the (foolish) position of "no Macedonia in the name". I'm proud of that. NikoSilver 22:34, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re good guy, you obviously have very poor judgment lol! Thanks! You can be of valuable help to the project. I hope you try to be as criticizing to your kin as I am to mine. NikoSilver 22:34, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Do not blank

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Template:Ethnic Macedonians. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Hey Sandbox, It was on accident, but I immediately undid the blank, so all is well Maktruth (talk) 08:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Templates

edit

Just a note - it's a lot easier if you add the templates by simply adding the name (if it's Eastern Christianity for example) with two {{ brackets on each side instead of writing the whole stuff every time. I hope it helps you. Cheers. --Laveol T 13:40, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
