Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because

  • the article was a copyright violation of the organisation's website. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. The copied text is marked ClimateCentre.org © 2015, obviously not PD. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the organisation claims or interviewing its management. You gave no in-line references of any kind, although I saw an (unlinked) mention of your site at the bottom
  • There
  • it's all about what the organisation does, little about the organisation itself other than its location. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, funding and expenditure. For all we are told, it could be one employee with a laptop
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Yours is all about what you claim to do, but with no verification or outcomes. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: It helps the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement and its partners reduce the impacts of climate change... It is the reference centre on climate change of the Red Cross / Red Crescent society... successful capacity building— it's an extended mission statement/press release with no real facts
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. In particular, if you work directly or indirectly for the organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Magyemang1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Magyemang1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
  • The reason for the Wikipedia page was to make it easier to find out about the Red Cross climate centre and also provide concise information for anyone that might want to know more about it.— we are not free advertising, and you must follow our rules. I can't even tell from what you posted whether you actually meet our notability criteria as linked above.

If you want to reply, you can do so on my talk page. You can alternatively leave a message on this page, and I will know you have done so if you start it with my user name, User:Jimfbleak and sign it with four tildes ~~~~ when you post it.

Jimfbleak Hi Jim, I did a re-draft of the Red Cross Climate Centre wikipage through the Articles for Creation and submitted it to be reviewed. It has been a week now and I still haven't heard back. I went on my contributions page and checked the history but I wasn't able to find it there? Do you have any idea of what might have happened? Magyemang1 (talk) 09:56, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
It was deleted at 21:20, August 15, 2016 by admin Seraphimblade for multiple reasons: speedy deletion criteria G11 advertising and G12 copyright violation. Copied non-PD source is here Jimfbleak (talk) 14:04, 22 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://tools.wmflabs.org/copyvios/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Draft%3ARed_Cross_Red_Crescent_Climate_Centre. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
