Reino de Portu-Cale
editPlease read here [1] this article about the: Os suevos já não têm concorrentes. - The word "spanked" makes no sense there. I'm not sure what you meant. Grandmasterka 00:18, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Unterseeboot 1 (1936)
editThe article should be at Unterseeboot 36 (1936), where I have now moved it. I was copy and pasting to keep the form from my pervious articles, forgot to change a number in the disambiguation page and accidentally created this. I have already done Unterseeboot 1 (1935). Thanks for the note on it looking good though--Jackyd101 17:58, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

Goings-on
editRespondi de novo em Talk:History of Portugal#Subdivisions of the History of Portugal.
- Imagens: a mesma história do costume.
Joaopais 03:31, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

editPortal links may appear in other articles, but do you think that's helpful? Portals are meant for the editors, and are not held to the same standards as articles. Don't you think it makes more sense to include them in talk pages? 172 | Talk 09:06, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Changing names
editI have about 6500 edits, is it possible to change my user name? Will it be a hard task? I don't want to bother anybody, if it isn't easy, I'll keep this one. Just one more question, if I change username, will my previous name appear on the article history or will the new one replace it? Mário 14:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, it is possible to change your user name. The max edits has been raised to 200,000.
- No, it is an easy task for us. Please read WP:CHU for instructions on submitting a request and finding if a username is available.
- No, your old username will be changed to the new username across all page histories. Your old signature, however will remain static across wikipedia.
- Remember that once we change your username, it will be available for others to choose. You'd have to recreate it again and have an admin permanently block it. (It's on the instructions on WP:CHU)
Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 17:20, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- Not necessary to change all links. You can redirect from your old userpages. =Nichalp «Talk»= 18:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know about the change.
I read the article and it looks good. There are some minor tweaks to be made to it (the word "neighborhood" doesn't quite make sense there... Do you mean the area around the Luz?) But its pretty good and saves me some effort. Thanks. Grandmasterka 19:26, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
- Heh... The quality standards on PT.WP are certainly not what they are here. Your article is quite good. I will be editing articles less until after my RfA ends... Then maybe I can help more at Portal:Portugal and Wikipedia:WikiProject Portuguese geography. Grandmasterka 07:26, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Joaopais 22:58, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Hello.
I was wondering what you meant by the above image. Do you mean that the Israelis and Palestinians should just drop their weapons and have a state together? Or are you advocating genocide? Or something else?
Thanks, -- Where 16:55, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. If I am interpreting you correctly, you feel that Arab-Israelis are currently treated as a subserviant people? And you thus feel that you think two wrongs make a right and that Jewish people in Israel/Palestine should be treated as inferiors? I am not sure if I am understanding you correctly. -- Where 17:21, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- In all honesty, I find your accusation that Arab-Israelis are being treated like the Jews were treated under the Nazi regime quite horrifying. While there is unfortunately some discrimination, Arab-Israelis are capable of voting and holding any type of job. And no Arab-Isrealis are being forcing into concentration camps and gassed. In fact, the only deliberate killings of Arab-Israelis that I can think of were by Jewish-Israeli terrorists, and these instances do not happen very often. However, I am relieved to find that this disagreement is just a disagreement on what is actually happening, rather than a disagreement on what should happen. We both agree in equality and human rights. I would recommend, however, that you add to the caption of the image on your page a clarification stating that you believe in equality; many people can and will interpret it quite differently. -- Where 17:58, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi. There's no need to remove the picture; it isn't meant as an attack image, and you thus have every right to have it. I was just recommending that you point out that you are advocating equality, rather than genocide or reduced-citizenship for Jews. But that's just a suggestion, not a request. Your call. -- Where 19:00, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I misinterpreted you, BTW. -- Where 19:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry; you were completely civil and your English was almost perfect. Happy editing! -- Where 19:38, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry I misinterpreted you, BTW. -- Where 19:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Infobox
Joaopais 00:30, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

editHello Mário/archive4, and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of (105/2/0). I was very pleased with the outpouring of kind words from the community that has now entrusted me with these tools, from the classroom, the lesson in human psychology and the international resource known as Wikipedia. The Free Encyclopedia. Please feel free to leave me plenty of requests, monitor my actions (through the admin desk on my userpage) and, if you find yourself in the mood, listen to some of what I do in real life (I hope we will be able to tour Portugal in the next few years.) In any case, keep up the great work and have a fabulous day. Grandmasterka 06:48, 16 July 2006 (UTC) |
Unspecified source for Image:Pcperu logo.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Pcperu logo.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 12:06, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL EVER RETURN - pensei, "O quê, o wikipedista português número um vai deixar a wikipedia?". Page Up 19:13, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Volta! Joaopais 00:52, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sem dúvida. Grandmasterka 23:04, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
