Hi Christina! I noticed a small issue with one of your recent contributions (just a few typographical errors) at Discover Financial. Upon digging a little deeper, though, I noticed a number of your recent contributions reference a website hosted by Stanford, which appears to compile data from other press releases and news reports without actually citing the original source of the information. In addition to potential copyright issues, it also makes it difficult or impossible for other editors and readers to ascertain the reliability and neutrality of this information. We try to supplement information of notable public companies in wiki. we will try to change the reference from Stanford to other press releases in our previous and later work. Well, it's actually best to have third-party reliable sources. Press releases might be alright if you're sourcing uncontroversial information, say, the number of employees at a company or its headquarters location, etc. But if you're sourcing a lawsuit, you'd probably want to have sourcing where the situation has been covered by a newspaper, journal, or other reliable source. Just a press release issued by the plaintiff would not really be sufficient without corroborating reliable sources. (For example, if it's important from an encyclopedic standpoint, you could potentially use a press release as sourcing for a quote or other statement by an involved party, but you'd need reliable sourcing to establish that the case occurred and was significant enough to the history of the company to warrant its inclusion in an encyclopedic article about said company.) "On March 24, 2005 , Level 3 Communications chief executive James Crowe received a $2 million bonus last year, drawing a bit of fire from one analyst Wednesday" [1] is a weird thing to write. Are you mechanically putting in a lot of stuff without actually reading it? Here's the full text pointed to by another of your additions to the Aéropostale (clothing) article [2]: "Aeropostale, a youth-oriented apparel retailer, will open a store at the Newgate Mall in Ogden on May 20. The company opened 101 stores in 2004 and has plans to open more than 90 stores in 2005. The company did not disclose whether any more store openings are planned in Utah this year." So somewhere in the middle of opening more than 191 stores, why do you call out one mall in Ogden? This just seems like a pointless addition to the article. Company edits edit

Hi, I've been looking over some of your recent edits. It's good to see someone trying to improve articles in this arena, as Wikipedia's coverage of major corporations in general is rather embarrassingly thin. However, I'm finding that many of your additions are rather random and at a level of detail that's too fine-grained. An encyclopedia article is meant to be a summary of the important facts about the topic. Many of your additions are about small events like an adjustment of dividends, a restatement of earnings, or awarding of a small contract. The important events that should be covered in a company's history are things like acquisitions, bankruptcies, expansions into new geographies or segments.
