July 2022 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Harjit Kaur Talwandi. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. July 2023 edit

Hi ScholarlyScribe! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 16:38, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kj cheetham. I will take care of the edits in future. Thank you. ScholarlyScribe (talk) 16:45, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

edit

Please stop adding PR and brand paid placement to articles, as you did on Zaara Yesmin. "mid-day" will typically label these clearly as "brand media". Thanks. Sam Kuru (talk) 19:10, 24 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Instant Bollywood edit

The article Instant Bollywood has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article with paid/ sponsored sources. Has no significant coverage apart from routine PR and trivial mentions

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blocked as a sockpuppet edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Applus2021 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Applus2021. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

@RoySmith:ScholarlyScribe (talk) 06:58, 18 October 2023 (UTC)I have been blocked on wikipedia as a sockpuppet. My username is ScholarlyScribe. I don't know any of the accounts that I have been linked to. This is my sole account on wikipedia. The edits that I have performed were because of the tags present on the gedela srinubabu page. The edits that I had performed on his page were solely because his content was published on reliable news websites. So, to improve the style and content of his page, I performed the edits.Reply

Decline reason:

None of this addresses what is discussed at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Applus2021 like the fact that this block is supported with technical evidence. 331dot (talk) 08:49, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

@331dot:@RoySmith: I am on wikipedia since December, 2021. Contrary to mentioned in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Applus2021 that i have been on wikipedia since March,2023. I don’t know the other accounts which i am being linked to. The edits performed on Gedela Srinubabu page were solely because of the tags and to improve the style of the wikipedia page. I have always tried to follow wikipedia guidelines. In the categories sections of Gedela Srinubabu these was a section named “Businesspeople from Andhra Pradesh” which contains list of Businesspeople from Andhra Pradesh. In that list i tried to explore different pages and found that there were tags present in many of the pages. For instance, the page of Nimmagadda Prasad contains a long lead section which is not according to wikipedia guidelines. In fact, i added tags like Very Long and Sections tag but reverted them subsequently because i thought already 3 tags have been placed and addition of 2 more tags would not look like a readable format. Instead, I changed the “Giving Back” section title to “Philanthropy” making it more of an encyclopaedia tone. Secondly, in the page of Kavuri Samba Siva Rao in the Early Life Section it was written like "Born in 1943, he was educated at National Institute of Technology, Warangal" which is grammatically not correct. I tried to correct it. Also, i added the link of wikipedia page of Machilipatnam Lok Sabha constituency on this page which was not previously present. It was the first occurrence of Machilipatnam Lok Sabha constituency in the page. I just tried to correct the wikipedia pages in a good faith. Links to other accounts are purely coincidental.ScholarlyScribe (talk) 09:49, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline. ArbCom has received an appeal. Cabayi (talk) 10:43, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@RoySmith: I would like to tell that I have been accused of sockpuppet for AustinTravis27 and James.Shaw2717 and not for User:Applus2021.This thing is mentioned in Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Applus2021.
