Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Vaco Baissac, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.vacoartiste.com/bio-EN.html, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Vaco Baissac and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or that the material is released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Vaco Baissac with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Vaco Baissac.

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Vaco Baissac/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Vaco Baissac saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I strongly suspect that you are the owner of the website, but, unfortunately, since we don't require identity verification at account creation we can't presume this in addressing copyright concerns. Since the article was entirely based on that external site and since that external site is under copyright, the article has been blanked and will need to be deleted if permission is not verified. If you choose to release the site under the terms of GFDL or into public domain, it can be restored. If you place a note at the website that you have released it, please let me know at my talk page (the link follows my signature here) or, if the article has not been deleted, at its talk page with a link to the release on the web. If, alternatively, you would like to release the material through e-mail, please follow the directions at WP:Permission. Be sure you identify the Wikipedia article in your letter to the Wikimedia Foundation. In that case, the article should be restored when the permission letter is received. Since the website does have a copyright notice, I would like to make clear that putting this information on Wikipedia will effectively nullify it. Any information on Wikipedia may be modified or reproduced, commercially or otherwise. The only copyright you will retain in that case is the right to attribution. Your authorship will be acknowledged, but if an organization chooses to publish your biography, you would not be compensated in any way. This is important to note, because Wikipedia is widely reproduced throughout the world. I apologize for the necessity for this process, but hope you will understand that it exists not only to protect Wikipedia, but also to protect the rights of copyright holders. Obviously, there can be substantial risk to market value of text if material is widely reproduced. We need to make sure that copyright owners give informed consent for our use of their work.
If you have any questions about any of this or if you choose to release the material at the website, please feel free to let me know. You can also request assistance at Wikipedia's help desk, which is typically manned around the clock by volunteers. Thank you again for your contribution. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:59, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article deleted: Vaco Baissac

edit

Since we do not yet have verification of permission by the processes set out above, the article has been deleted. This deletion is not necessarily permanent. If you have already sent a letter to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed by the Communications Committee. Likewise, if you have not yet sent a letter, you may certainly do so at any point, and the article will be restored when that letter is received and processed.

As Wikipedia does not require proof of identity on account creation, it is essential that we receive external proof of authorization in order to ensure that we remain compliant with US Copyright law. It is also essential that we verify that copyright holders understand the extent of the release they are authorizing, in that [[GNU Free documentation license]] permits modification and reuse in any forum, even commercial publication, as long as authorship credit is maintained.

If you have questions about the verification procedure, please feel free to contact me at my talk page. Alternatively, you might address them at the [[WT:C|talk page of the copyright policy]], which is generally monitored by volunteers experienced in processing such matters. Thank you.--~~~~
