Article title help needed edit

{{helpme}} [[Visceral larval migrans]] page has problem: Disease is misspelled. It should be Visceral Larva Migrans, without l at end of Larva. Please fix cuz I can't do it.

PL

Just click the tab at the top of the article that says "edit". If you still need help, just place {{helpme}}reply to back on the page. -- John Reaves (talk) 04:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}}reply Yes, but I am referring to the title/name of the page itself. The name of the page is a misspelling. How is this changed?

PL

Easy enough, just click the tab that says "move" and then change the name of the article to the correct spelling and click sumbit (or something along those lines). Hope you're helped, if not, add a {{helpme}} reply on this page. - ~VNinja~ 01:44, 19 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've fixed the misspelling. Article title is now Visceral larva migrans, and links in related articles have been edited to eliminate redirects. —QuicksilverT @ 09:25, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

J&K Right to Information Act edit

A tag has been placed on J&K Right to Information Act, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pyrospirit (talk · contribs) 00:46, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

CHAD edit

Please don't create duplicate pages. Use a redirect instead. (I've redirected CHAD to the disambiguation page, and added a link there to go to chad score.) After all, CHAD could mean many things. Thanks, --Bfigura (talk) 17:31, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gotcha. Sorry about that. PS, please sign your posts with ~~~~ next time. Thanks, --Bfigura (talk) 17:37, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Right to Information Act edit

Kindly correlate with "State Level Laws" where there is a missing link. DOGSOC —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogsoc (talkcontribs) 13:14, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

NRTI is the Central / Federal law. It was sufficiently clarified that NRTI 2005 does not extend to Jammu+Kashmir and that there is a State level legislation for J&K. The place for linking to the State Level laws was lower down with everyone else. Article 370 has nothing to do with this issue. Dogsoc 17:29, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:CHADS2_score.gif has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 00:39, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bangladesh photos edit

Hi, If I'm not mistaken, you emailed recently in the Bangla_wiki mailing list about places in Chittagong that you can photograph. So, how did that go? Have you uploaded them to Commons/Wikipedia? Thanks. --Ragib (talk) 20:52, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The visit was called off because I did not have enough time because I was busy with some Right to Info stuff, as Munir could tell you. I was planning to take overnight volvo and stay for 2-3 days. Certainly it will happen on my next trip... maybe in summer...... Never understand this wikipedia talk thing... PL

Hi! Thanks for your 2nd message on my talk page. I responded to it there. --Bob K31416 (talk) 03:58, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi! Thanks for your 3rd message on my talk page. I responded to it there and added a P.S. --Bob K31416 (talk) 13:03, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

In addition to my comments on my talk page, I was thinking that the sentence under discussion would be better placed in the "Risk of stroke" section. What do you think? (Also, please notice my most recent comments on my talk page that I referred to in my previous message here.) --Bob K31416 (talk) 13:50, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bold edit

I reverted you edit at Dots per inch because the WP:MOS (see MOS:BOLD) has explicit limitations on appropriate uses for bold text. Dicklyon (talk) 19:47, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notification of automated file description generation edit

Your upload of File:Bakkerwals.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Your contributed article, Hazratbal edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Hazratbal. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srinagar. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Srinagar – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Flat Out let's discuss it 10:02, 18 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:DhotiSmall.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:DhotiSmall.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 13:43, 18 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
