Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Savannah sparrow. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write. Passengerpigeon (talk) 21:17, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Adam Yates (paleontologist)

edit

The article Adam Yates (paleontologist) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. IffyChat -- 14:12, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Upon further review, I have removed the speedy deletion template as I have found an article on Researchgate that seems to suggest its existence. Sorry about that; the first search I did for "Nicksaurus" brought up no results leading me to think it was a hoax. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 21:05, 11 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Fraserosphenodonteeth.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Fraserosphenodonteeth.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:46, 12 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ultrasaurus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Juvenile (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:27, 13 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sources and communication

edit

Laossaurus, thank you for taking the time to create new articles on Wikipedia. WP:V is essential to this project though, and you are repeatedly creating unreferenced or poorly referenced articles, despite concerns being raised. You have also been asked to communicate. It is part of the policies WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE that you communicate with other editors, and it's outlined in a clear manner in the essay WP:COMMUNICATE. If you refuse to discuss concerns with other editors, it is likely to end at WP:ANI. I have come across many of your creations as part of New Page Patrol, where we decide if an article is ready to be released to Google and other search engines, and having its sources clear really helps. Your articles are interesting and I thank you for them - but I really need you to respond when others contact you about concerns. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 11:52, 13 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Sidormimus

edit

Hello, Laossaurus,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Sidormimus should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sidormimus .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
