Also please read reliable sources. It would be more fitting to include a newspaper article about the gallery than the artists' websites to support the inclusion of their works. How is adding revisions that are true and information a conflict of interest. Again, I am the designated webmaster of the school - our should have the right to be sure that the information about LMG on Wikipedia is both true and up-to-date. I've already verified that a person of that name is on the staff at LMGHS. That does not confirm that you are the person you assert to be. The verification would need to come from the HS staff account, since you're alleging affiliation with the school. The important information to note is that you are who you say you are, you are the school's webmaster, and could an OTRS volunteer please put a notation on your user talk page to note that the account has been vetted. Follow the link above; it has the email address.

Additionally, there are a few policies that you'll want to look over, since they apply in your situation and based on your edit history:

• WP:Ownership of articles: Nobody owns or has primary editing privileges over an article. Anybody can edit articles, regardless of their affiliation with a subject. If anything, editors need to edit more carefully when they are related to the subject than when they aren't.
• WP:Conflict of interest: How to edit carefully when you are related to the article's subject.
• WP:Verifiability: An article doesn't (alas) always contain what is true; it may be limited to what can be verified in…
• WP:Reliable sources: The benchmark for whether a source can be used to support text in an article.
• WP:Self-published sources: Additional restrictions when the source is writing about itself.

WP:ELNO, point #14: "Lists of links to manufacturers, suppliers or customers." While the artist of a gallery work is not a supplier per se, it's the same premise. The message I get mentions an autoblock affecting my computer IP address when I try to use the editing functions. What should I do?

Please explain how to correct this issue as I am very confused about what to do - your message is attached regarding the use of a digital reproduction of an oil painting by Jacques Maroger (a self-portrait) on the Wiki page about Maroger.

The artist Jacques Maroger created this image - it is an oil painting. Jacques Maroger died in 1962. He has no heirs. No claim of copyright on the painting can be found. The image is in use on several sites related to Jacques Maroger, his painting mediums research, and his students and proteges.

Condition of Unblock

Hi. I noticed that you were blocked for a username violation 4 years ago, and unblocked with the condition that you change the username to one that meets our username guidelines. It appears that you have yet to do this. It's also highly possible that you're editing topics where you have WP:COI, which is improper whether you change your username or not. @EatsShootsAndLeaves: Where do you see the username change as a condition of the unblock? I see the unblock as per OTRS action related to the username and verification thereof; I don't see anywhere the unblock is conditional on the username change. (Don't forget that the username issue would be per the 2010 version of the policy, not the current one.)

IMHO, I agree that a username like "(firstname) at LMGHS" would be more compliant with the current policy, but this might be an exceptional case where the username, styled as a role account, is acceptable—so long as only one person uses the account. —C.Fred (talk) 18:29, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
