Hello, I'm Ronz. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 18:30, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here are two examples from your first three edits to Gary Vaynerchuk:

  • Puffery [1]
  • Original research [2] - the first sources is an opinion piece (a poor source for history in a BLP) that doesn't mention Vaynerchuk.
The second source is Vaynerchuk speaking - another poor source to use in a BLP.

WP:BLP articles require editors to closely follow Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and requires editors to remove poorly sourced information about living persons. --Ronz (talk) 22:43, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your next edit to the article [3] uses his own videos as sources. --Ronz (talk) 22:48, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you.

See also WP:COI in case it might apply. --Ronz (talk) 18:40, 3 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Ronz (talk) 17:10, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey Ronz - how are adding these two up to date biographical content different than the wine library series or the obsessed tv?

Thanks for responding. I think it would be best to get others involved. I'll see what I can do to get some help.
To answer your question: Wikipedia articles should be written from a historical context, and generally cannot provide the most up-to-date information. The solution is to rely upon reliable, independent sources written from a broad and historical perspective. Such sources may be difficult to find, or may not exist; so we do the best we can, recognizing that biographical information must be referenced with high-quality sources. --Ronz (talk) 21:26, 13 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
