Adoption

edit

Would you like to be adopted? Let me know which areas interest you here on WP and I might be able to help! A message on my Talk page is the best way to contact me. I am on UK time (GMT+0), if that is an issue. (aeropagitica) 06:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adoption Template Removed

edit

Hi there Klymkowsky

I have removed the Adoptme template from your user page, as you have been contacted by an adopter and have not been active on Wikipedia since. This has been done to help to decrease the load at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.

If you feel that none of the users that have contacted you so far meet your needs, then please add back the Adoptme template. Also feel free to contact me - Cheers Lethaniol 14:58, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Didaskalogenesis

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Didaskalogenesis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Concept inventory

edit

I appreciate your edits of the concept inventory Wikipedia entry. I think you did a fine job of editing and adding to the entry. I have a question about this product of your editing: "So while scoring concept inventories in the form of essay or oral exams is labor intensive, costly, and difficult to implement with large numbers of students, it often offers a more realistic appraisal of the actual levels of students' conceptual mastery and limitations." Is that sentence a fairer statement than the original, "On the other hand, scoring concept inventories in the form of essay or oral exams is labor intensive, costly, and difficult to implement with large numbers of students"? I tend to sympathize with your edit but I think it should be less categorical because it is possible to create an essay or oral exam that does not provide a more realistic appraisal of a student's conceptual mastery. I want to run this thought by you.Iss246 (talk) 00:08, 18 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

On reflection, I think your reworking of the sentence is the right call. Do you have a source to add to the sentence?Iss246 (talk) 14:40, 19 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have added the source, I think - the Wright et al article, but I can look for a better one if you like.

I think what you did is helpful. I also think a citation should follow the phrase, "it often offers a more realistic appraisal of the actual levels of students' conceptual mastery and limitations," at the end of the entry. Do you agree?Iss246 (talk) 04:33, 20 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I placed your citation from the chemistry education journal at the end of the above sentence. The citation covers an oral assessment. The sentence still needs a citation bearing on essay assessments.Iss246 (talk) 17:06, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added an apt citation bearing on essay assessments. It is a citation that I already placed in the concept inventory entry during earlier edits. I still request that you identify other citations bearing on the use of essay and oral exams that can be used in the concept inventory entry. I think such citations would further improve the entry.Iss246 (talk) 15:37, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
