Talk pages edit

Please put new talk page sections at the bottom of the page with a descriptive heading so editors can find them. Additions to the top of talk pages frequently don't get seen because that's not where new posts are supposed to go. Skyerise (talk) 13:12, 20 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sweet as, thanks for the guidance. Kikila mai Tawhiti (talk) 21:50, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Nellie McClung edit

Did you look at what a Génocidaires is? While McClung may be associated with promoting legislation that deeply affected Indigenous peoples in Canada she most definitely wasn't a Rwandan and she died 40 years prior to the Rwandan genocides. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:49, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

That's a narrow definition. Otherwise it's someone who participates in genocide. Nellie fits that description in pretty specific ways.
Are you trolling me? You seem to leave comments on all of my posts asking wikipedia to reflect. HEre's a resource friend: https://www.thc.texas.gov/public/upload/preserve/museums/files/White_Supremacy_Culture.pdf
Let me know if you'd like more resources, or if you would like to e-chat on your path. Kikila mai Tawhiti (talk) 19:22, 2 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I looked at your source and it does not contain "genocidaire", "Nellie McClung", or "McClung" so it's mot a usable reference for that term to be used with here. You may feel that that word fits but without a reliable source it is original research. See Wikipedia:No original research.
As to trolling I don't think you understand the meaning. I left two comments on one talk page and one here concering two articles that are on my watchlist. I see that you have made comments and edits on other pages, none of which I responded too. However, if you really believe I'm trolling then feel free to open a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Sourcing additions edit

Hey there, I notice when looking at your edits that you often add information to an article with no source. If you have a piece of information you’d like to add to an article, please find a reliable source to cite to your addition. Thanks! Zanahary (talk) 16:56, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey there, I just reverted your unsourced edits to the Great Awakening articles. If you want to change the semantic content of an article, your change must reflect sources, either those that are already cited or new ones. Zanahary (talk) 18:55, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Keep the white supremacist/classist erasure going Zach! Kikila mai Tawhiti (talk) 22:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know who you think I am (Zach? If that's an anglicization of my Malagasy username, it's very ironic), but accusing editors of "white supremacist/classist erasure" for maintaining the need for citations on Wikipedia is not gonna fly. Don't do that. And cite your work. Zanahary (talk) 02:06, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

You don't have to be white to support white supremacy. And seeing all of the eurocentric stuff that gets (re)produced here without citations is pretty offensive, though none of that gets corrected/called out. Kikila mai Tawhiti (talk) 21:36, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Kikila mai Tawhiti, please do not bring up my race again. Zanahary (talk) 22:42, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
For sure, and apologies to have offended you, especially around using an improper name for you Zanahary. That's an oversight on my part and was not fair to you. Your race was not brought up by me. Let's be clear here. Accusing someone of supporting white supremacy culture is not about race. Please see Ta-nehisi Coates Between the World and Me, Red Skin, White Masks by Glen Coulthard, and How the Irish Became White by Ignatief. Kikila mai Tawhiti (talk) 18:51, 2 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
You should tag anything unsupported by citations, no matter what. Uncited material doesn’t belong on Wikipedia. This rule applies to your edits! Zanahary (talk) 00:46, 3 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Kikila -- Zanahary is a distinguished Malagasy editor who does not deserve to be treated this way. Check out editors contributions before making such assumptions. Here at WP, one of our most important behavioral guidelines is: Assume Good Faith (read WP:AGF), and our policy on Civility (see WP:CIVILITY is not optional. Please treat others with respect. You may be very surprised how many wonderful editors there are here; not everyone is the enemy. Thank you. Netherzone (talk)

May 2024 edit

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Kikila mai Tawhiti. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing.

Please do not make personal attacks towards other editors, as you did so by implying that Zanahary supports white supremacy. I have noticed that you have made similar comments elsewhere on the encylopedia. Please read and abide by our behavioral guidelines and policies. Netherzone (talk) 22:40, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
