June 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Drchriswilliams. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Welcome! edit

Hello, Khy92, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can place {{helpme}} on your talk page along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! 220 of Borg 12:04, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

June 2016 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Chaudhary Charan Singh Post Graduate College a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge.
* 'Moved' to Chaudhary Charan Singh Post Graduate College, Heonra (Saifai), which not the normal way of naming a Wikipedia article page.

  • You appear to have done or tried to do this to more than one page. If you disagree with a page-name you need to take it to the relevant talk-page and discuss it to find a WP:Consensus before making a page move. 220 of Borg 12:12, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. OnionRing (talk) 12:20, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

OnionRing, this seems likely to be a WP:cut and paste 'move'. (See below re Chaudhary Charan Singh Post Graduate College) 220 of Borg 12:27, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes this editor has attempted a few of these as you noted above. Once it's deleted a10 I will rename the old article to the new name. The new article is also rather promotional. Thanks, OnionRing (talk) 12:32, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Kh94h edit

Khy92, is there any connection between you and Kh94h (talk · contribs)?
Their editing style, habits and subjects of interest, such as their request, after being blocked, to "... change page name of "Uttar Pradesh Medical Sciences University" into "Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences" " (which you did), seem to be very similar to yours. 220 of Borg 12:21, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
