Wikilinks edit

Khbarton, Good, you edited your page and sent a message. One more thing: play around with wikilinks. Wikilinks are links you use to reference an article in Wikipedia. So you wrote about the University of Southern Indiana and I placed double brackets before and after the name of the article title. Crtew (talk) 19:33, 27 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your article looks great so far! You have a lot of information present, and it is coming along! I would advise that above your notability statement, to delete the "NAME... also known as..." paragraph because it isn't needed. Also, I feel like you need more reference links. For example, in your notability statement, I would make a link to "The Express Tribune." Readers may not know what that is, so providing a cite for them to learn more would be great. I would go through your article and look at words or phrases that people may not know the meaning of, that way you can provide them a link! Your "context" section looks amazing by the way! And so does your "reaction" section. You are doing so well! Keep up the good work! Enweaver (talk) 03:40, 24 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

After reading through your article, I found it very interesting and knowledgable. You did very well researching and putting together the puzzle pieces of information. Overall, it seems you put in adequate effort.

Balochistan edit

Hi, and thanks for the message. I've had a look at your article, which seems very promising. The title of the map is [[File:Balochistan in Pakistan.svg]], which indicates that the area shaded red is the province of Balochistan. The caption needs altering, however, and I'd also suggest that you locate Turbat on the map, since that's where Gul worked and died. (The nowiki stuff above means that you see the map's title rather than the actual map, which would take over the whole of this talk page!)

So: you need to edit the Death section of the article. Scroll down to the Location map bit that starts with the first squiggly brackets. Adapt the map's caption so that it says that the red shaded area is Balochistan, Pakistan, one of the four provinces of Pakistan, and shows the location of Turbat relative to Karachi and Islamabad. To add Turbat to the map, you need to add a third section to the "places =" parameter. I suggest copying and pasting the whole of the second section immediately underneath it so that you have three sections, the second and third of which are identical. Don't disturb the two squiggly brackets at the bottom on the left! Now you can type over the third section, putting "label = Turbat" and filling in the latitude and longitude details for Turbat. To get the lat/long, open another iteration of Wikipedia and go to Turbat. Pretend to edit the first section of that article and copy the latitude and longitude stuff from the Infobox settlement section - they read: |latd=26|latm=0|lats=15|latNS=N |longd=63 |longm=3|longs=38|longEW=E and should replace the duplicated lat/longs in the third section of the Death section which is still open.

Hm! I've tested the above and Turbat doesn't appear on the map. It looks to me as if there is more than one type of map with slightly different parameters and never the twain shall meet. I'll seek assistance and get back to you ASAP. Best. --GuillaumeTell 18:15, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
