Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the 
button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put

Trfeistel, Congratulations, you have created an account, edited your page, and sent me message through my talk page. You have done everything but create links in your user page. All you have to do to make a link is to put double brackets around an article title, like this University of Southern Indiana. You don't have to sign your user page or the Wikipedia articles you edit. You will be using the four tildes whenever you leave a message, like you did on my user talk page. You're to write a section on missing journalists in Syria for the article List of journalists killed during the Syrian civil war. This is a very volatile subject as new developments can happen at any time. Foreign governments are often working behind the scenes and with other governments to find the missing. A good example is Dorothy Parvaz, who so far was one of the most well-known cases of a journalist who ended up missing. Currently, a U.S. journalist for McClatchy is missing in Syria. However, there are also Syrian journalists who have been reported missing. They have nobody of power looking into their cases and so may not see as much information.
Please be mindful and cautious about who is labeled missing and how you write about them. Remember, you're covering living people, and there is no evidence of death in these cases. You always need multiple sources for verification. Be careful how you phrase the missing because what if they were to turn up and you hadn't updated the information. You have to be careful that you are up to date, as well. The best approach would be factual, verified and precise and adopt the long-term view.

What you want to do in the statement of notability is summarize the phenomenon. I have added an article about the United Nations statement that highlighted how deadly a month August was and about doubling of the refugee crisis. This all happened in August about when many foreign journalists went missing. What we don't have is a good accounting of how many Syrian journalists are missing. Your article provided a lot of good information regarding the number of journalists being abducted. The amount of research and references used is impressive. The list of journalists is an organized way of presenting them.
Peer reviewing your article was more difficult since it was not a single journalist. I had a couple of questions while reading the article so I will post those and hope that helps.
