Conflict of interest editing/Self-promotion

edit

  Hello, Juan Cristobal Losada. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article SonicProjects, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 02:08, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why are you reverting me?

edit

Why are you reverting me? Your edits are very promotional. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 19:46, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

== Its not promotional== These are facts about my career. If theres something specific that seems promo delete just that, but dont undo the whole page. Youre even taking out my date and place of birth, my credits as producer, most of my bio, and external links to some of my work.

This is about you? Then you should see WP:COI and WP:AUTOBIO. Also, they are promotional. Please do not edit the page any longer. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 19:56, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I didn't write it, im just uploading it. Can you help me clean up the specific things that feel promotional only? Instead of undoing the whole page? I don't think my name, DOB and facts about my career are promotional. Everybody has their notable career acomplishments on wikipedia as biografical info.

You don't seem to be notable. Also, where are you uploading it from? If you are uploading it, it is a WP:COPYVIO and that is something which is taken VERY seriously on Wikipedia. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 21:27, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
