December 2022

edit

Hello, I'm Archer1234. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Ralph de Gael‎‎. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Archer1234 (talk) 15:39, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks very much for this! Jollytree (talk) 19:59, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Jollytree, this edit here adds an inline external link to Ralph de Gael in the infobox. Per WP:EXT "With rare exceptions, external links should not be used in the body of an article" (this does not apply to citations and references). The link you added and where you added it is not one of those rare exceptions. Since you are relatively new to Wikipedia, I realize you are still learning Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, but please pay attention to this as you continue to edit. Thank you. — Archer1234 (talk) 22:28, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Whoops, thank you. Yes, I am not so familiar with everything, but thanks for this. I'll try and make sure I don't do that! Jollytree (talk) 01:23, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm JalenFolf. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Ralph de Gael, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jalen Folf (talk) 21:52, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I have read a lot to make sure that I have the most accurate info I can.
I have especially tried to find the original sources - including the French, Latin and old english sources, as well as up to date research. I will make sure to try and cite everything. Jollytree (talk) 02:18, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jollytree! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Ralph de Gael that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Archer1234 (talk) 02:14, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oh okay, sorry! I am still familiarizing myself with the rules. Thank you for pointing this out. Jollytree (talk) 02:17, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not link to or source claims to fr-academic.com. It appears to be a fork or mirror of Wikipedia in French (maybe from French Wikipedia or English Wikipedia). Therefore, it is not reliable.
