Just to explain further, in case you didn't see the reasoning. Three-dimensional objects, if photographed by someone else, are considered copyrightable, even if the objects themselves are out of copyright. For example, uploading someone else's photograph of a 100-year old framed painting would be a violation of copyright because of the frame, but the same photograph, if cropped down to the painting, is considered a faithful reproduction of a two-dimensional work of art. Basically - if you had taken the photograph of the horse yourself then your upload would have been fine, but it was clearly copied over from the Museum's website which is not on.
