This is an official welcome. You probably remember me on wikiHow as Awesome Aasim. It is nice to meet you here too :D With regards to your message on Anome's talk page, you are right. Wikipedia does have a conflict-of-interest guideline which basically states that if you have a close connection with a topic, it is not a good idea to edit directly. There is a template you can use {{edit request}} on the talk page of the affected article Talk:wikiHow that will notify editors that you have a suggested edit to the page. Of course, I know wikiHow does not try to advertise on Wikipedia or anywhere :) All that that tag means is that an editor has identified problems with the page that need an editor's attention. You probably remember maintenance tags from wikiHow as well. I think the only difference between maintenance tags here and on wikiHow is that Wikipedia maintenance tags, unless if they are deletion tags, do not affect search engine indexing.

Wikipedia also has a similar system for indexing articles (similar to new article boost) called new pages patrol, which basically until an article is marked as reviewed, it is not indexed. There are no "demotions" or "promotions" either, but there is something called "Draftification" where pages that need significantly more work are moved pending improvement for six months. Anyway, I do not want to make this welcome message too long, but it is nice to see you on Wikipedia! :D Aasim 19:36, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
PS to ping me use the code {{u|Awesome Aasim}} and sign with ~~~~ Aasim 19:45, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
