Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Disruptive editing by user Emmette Hernandez Coleman. Thank you. I'm telling you this because of Sue Rangell's comment there, he called my opposition to his proposed move at Talk:List of airports in the Palestinian territories (where he wanted to move the article to a "Palestine or "State of Palestine" title) "an unsettling experience" and "unreasonable resistance", "almost indistiguishable from gaming the system and POV pushing", if I understood him correctly. You were involved in the discussion it evolved into, and I was hoping you could weigh in. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 03:56, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion

edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we are requesting your participation to help find a resolution.

Guide for participants

If you wish to open a DR/N filing, click the "Request dispute resolution" button below this guide or go to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/request for an easy to follow, step by step request form.

What this noticeboard is:
  • It is an early step to resolve content disputes after talk page discussions have stalled. If it's something we can't help you with, or is too complex to resolve here, our volunteers will point you in the right direction.
What this noticeboard is not:
  • It is not a place to deal with the behavior of other editors. We deal with disputes about article content, not disputes about user conduct.
  • It is not a place to discuss disputes that are already under discussion at other dispute resolution forums.
  • It is not a substitute for the talk pages: the dispute must have been discussed extensively on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) before resorting to DRN.
  • It is not a court with judges or arbitrators that issue binding decisions: we focus on resolving disputes through consensus, compromise, and explanation of policy.
Things to remember:
  • Discussions should be civil, calm, concise, neutral, and objective. Comment only about the article's content, not the other editors. Participants who go off-topic or become uncivil may be asked to leave the discussion.
  • Let the other editors know about the discussion by posting {{subst:drn-notice}} on their user talk page.
  • Sign and date your posts with four tildes "~~~~".
  • If you ever need any help, ask one of our volunteers, who will help you as best as they can. You may also wish to read through the FAQ page located here and on the DR/N talkpage.

Please take a moment to review the simple guide and join the discussion. Thank you!

You've been editing here for what, nearly a decade? Are there many more examples of this that the project needs to be made aware of? A quick glance at your recent edit history reveals several concerning edits (ie [1]). TDL (talk) 09:25, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

You must be kidding. First you complain something is unsourced, then I use an official source to back it up and you cry copyvio? The edit you reverted was close to the source, because of your constant objections that I make that up. Japinderum (talk) 06:43, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
Why would I joke about something this serious? If you can't understand the difference between my request that you cite reliable sources, and WP:PLAGIARISM of reliable sources then that's a big problem. TDL (talk) 21:47, 27 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
I see you filed a complaint, we can discuss there. Japinderum (talk) 07:02, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your redirect vote

edit

At Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Coat of arms of the State of Palestine I interpreted your vote to mean "Redirect to Coat of arms of the Palestinian National Authority", but the closing admin interpreted it as an ambiguous "redirect" vote, without a particular target. Which did you mean? Please responded at Talk:Coat of arms of the State of Palestine. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 19:55, 1 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't open for me either, the problem is probably at the websites end. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 05:56, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Here's the Google cache version. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 05:57, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I wouldn't class this as "top notch" RS, but it seems OK enough to back "Mongolia embassy in Cairo accredited" in Foreign relations of the PLO and List of diplomatic missions in Palestine. Japinderum (talk) 06:03, 6 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

You want to take a break from your wiki-break and weigh in at Talk:State of Palestine#Proposed merge with Palestinian territories? I tried to explain the relationship between the PLO, PNA, and SOP, but I don't think I did a good job. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 13:23, 8 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
