I'm not sure why you made this edit. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:53, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Magnolia677 Hey, I was going through the Category:American Civil War military monuments and memorials and trying to further specify the types of monuments into either Confederate (as is the case with teh edit I made here) or Union. Undoubtedly, some articles will remain in the American Civil War military monuments and memorials (such as Gettysburg National Military Park, where it is a monument or memorial to "both sides"), but in general most seem to be commemorating one side or the other. -JJonahJackalope (talk) 19:56, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- Edited the above message slightly due to formatting issue. -JJonahJackalope (talk) 20:00, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- But you removed several categories, including United Daughters of the Confederacy monuments and memorials, which lists List of Confederate monuments and memorials in Georgia. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:54, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- With that category, as well as the category for Sons of Confederate Veterans, are those necessary to have if the page includes several monuments and memorials that were not erected by those groups? -JJonahJackalope (talk) 20:58, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- The criteria for category addition is "A defining characteristic", so I would agree that Sons of Confederate Veterans probably doesn't need inclusion, but the Daughters of the Confederacy added a ton of monuments. I'm also wondering if "lost cause" needs to be included, as it's not related to monuments. Anyway, revert if you want. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 21:31, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

GANs
Hi Jonah! You've been doing incredibly great work creating content recently. It's great that you've been actively writing articles up to GA quality. It seems like you have a pretty good idea of what a good article looks like. Have you considered reviewing some articles in return? The process requires people to volunteer their time to review in order to continue flowing. Anyways, no pressure, just a thought. Cheers and keep up the good work! Running from 1 through 31 October 2021, WikiProject Women in Green is hosting a Good Article (GA) editathon event focused on the topic of women's rights.
