Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Dr. Isak Rajjak Shaikh, is not in accordance with our policies. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 12:19, 9 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dr. Isak Rajjak Shaikh

edit

The article Dr. Isak Rajjak Shaikh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to not meet Wikipedia:Notability (people) looks more like promotion/CV

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Isak Rajjak Shaikh. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. – Joe (talk) 14:01, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you are serious about not wanting the article deleted, you need to stop blindly reverting other people's improvements to the article. This edit removed necessary maintenance templates and restored template errors as well as a large number of inappropriate links. Why do you keep adding Wikipedia articles to the "External links" section, for instance? Wikipedia links are not external links, they are internal links. And the references/links sections are once again a jumbled mess.

Also note that if the article is kept, it has to be severely pruned. All text about alleged injustice, as well as the details about how Shaikh felt when he was in Taiwan, etc, has to be removed. Such details do not belong in any Wikipedia article, and after all you claim (repeatedly) that you want the article to follow Wikipedia policy. At the moment, I am not at all interested in trying to help improve the article (given that you have attacked me and other editors, calling our good-faith edits "malicious" and the acts of "crooks") but if you want to edit Wikipedia you have to work collaboratively and accept that every good-faith editor has the same right to improve the encyclopedia by making articles conform to our standards.

That being said, there is nothing in the article or the references that indicates that Shaikh meets Wikipedia's peculiar criteria for notability, and for that reason alone, if for no other reason, it will almost certainly be deleted. If you keep adding inappropriate content, that's another reason to delete it, unfortunately.

Finally, please stick to one single account to edit Wikipedia, participate in discussions, etc. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 18:54, 12 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
