Help me!

edit

Hello.

Yesterday I completed an article on fleecehold and then pressed the "publish" button.

Today I have searched for fleecehold in the Wikipedia search box but it still says there is no page in Wikipedia on fleecehold.

I expect the page I created yesterday may be in a queue for assessment and then, hopefully, approval, but I would be grateful if current status of the article could be checked, to ensure that all is in order, and if I could be given an idea of when the page may appear on Wikipedia.

Thank you.

The article is still in your user sandbox. If you wish to have the article reviewed for inclusion in Wikipedia, please add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask them here. Sario528 (talk) 13:06, 4 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Help me!

edit

Sario528, thank you for advising that I need to add {{AFC submission|||ts=20190404133638|u=Ioscrivo|ns=3}} to the top of the page in order for it to be put forward for publication.

Just before finding your answer to my question, I found a Wikipedia page advising that for the page to be published four days must pass since I created my account, and that within those four days I must make 10 edits elsewhere in Wikipedia. So I have just added a detail to the Wikipedia page on Shrewsbury, and will look for 9 other improvements I can make on other pages.

But could you, please, confirm that these 10 edits are necessary before the page I have submitted may be published?

And if it IS necessary that I make 10 edits, perhaps it would be beneficial if I could help improve pages which you KNOW are in need of improvement. (I have a postgraduate degree in linguistics, so I could help perfect pages on which you know the English grammar or expression needs improvement.)

Thank you.

As you will notice below, that while your submission was not accepted, it was not because you don't have enough edits. Do you remember where you found that requirement? EDIT: Also, you do not need to keep using the help me, as I have watchlisted this page and will be monitoring it for responses. Sario528 (talk) 13:51, 4 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sario528 (talk), thank you for the prompt response.

I could go through the article and strip away everything and anything that cannot be substantiated by a reference to a secondary source, in the hope that that would certainly make the content acceptable.

But, just in case, would it be possible for a Wikipedia editor to go through the article and run "a highlighter" over phrases or sentences which must be changed, substantiated by a secondary source, or deleted? (A different colour for each kind of issue would be helpful.)

I've already put a month's work into the article, seeking to be neutral and to substantiate each matter, though certainly not every sentence, and I am too busy with my own work to become a Wikipedia editor, so I would much rather not have to "re-invent the wheel" for this one-off contribution.

In other words, is there another way?

Re. the 10 edits, I found the information in the "This page in a nutshell" box at the top of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Your_first_article

Thank you.
