Speedy deletion nomination of Illustration Institute

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Illustration Institute requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~StyyxTalk? 22:01, 19 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Illustration Institute moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Illustration Institute, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Given your conflict of interest you need to go through WP:AFC. Do not create this in mainspace yourself again. CUPIDICAE💕 16:15, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I believe there is enough sources, including well known and independent newspapers such as the Boston Globe and the Portland Press Herald, as well as reputable educational facilities such as the Maine College of Art and Design and also public institutions including the Portland Public Library. All information has been verified, and I tried to include links and citations for each piece of information. Imox17 (talk) 16:19, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
PS: removing your COI declaration is a good way to get blocked, not get your article into mainspace. CUPIDICAE💕 16:20, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oh, okay. I only removed it because I don't really have a Conflict of Interest, I'm just familiar with the organization. I'll put it back. Imox17 (talk) 16:22, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for moving in to a draft. I'm new to this so the advice is appreciated. Imox17 (talk) 16:32, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
