Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:KnowMads

A tag has been placed on Draft:KnowMads, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. Request reason:

The intent is not promotion or advertisement. I will edit and/or remove material that does not comply with wiki rules. I'm a new user and am excited about the KnowMads and when I saw that they did not have a page I wanted to create it so that this information that is already available to the public is collected and available on the best information platform in the world: Wikipedia. I did not understand why the public bio of the KnowMads was flagged as copyrighted. I will be happy to make the changes necessary to reword the bio to not have the same sentences as the copyrighted material that was flagged. I promise to be more attentive to my contributions and ensure that the sentences are not similar and are cited properly. Ilyghattas (talk) 01:55, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

The draft was flagged as copyrighted because most of it was lifted from another website. This is not permitted for legal reasons, see WP:COPYVIO. Please understand that Wikipedia is not merely a place to post information, this is an encyclopedia, which has articles about subjects shown in independent reliable sources with significant coverage to be notable as Wikipedia defines it. Bands must meet at least one of the notability criteria written at WP:BAND to merit an article here.

I would suggest reading Your First Article and maybe(once unblocked) using the new user tutorial to learn more about Wikipedia before attempting to create an article- which is probably the hardest thing to do here. Do you work for or represent the band? 331dot (talk) 09:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
