Speedy deletion nomination of User:Iamanunkownuser/sandbox

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Iamanunkownuser/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://open.spotify.com/artist/1XFbnj1jNNzzyg46ni3dnr. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 10:48, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Iamanunkownuser. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Iamanunkownuser. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Iamanunkownuser|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 10:58, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, how are you? Despite you believe it or not I am doing an unpaid internship at a music label based in Lisbon called Discotexas. I am helping with communication, strategy and doing the wikipedia pages of the two founders (Moullinex & Xinobi) and doing the wikipedia page of the label. I am not promoting the work of nobady. This is a task of an unpaid internship and it is all being done with their agreenment and consentment. The similarity between Moullinex spotify bio and the wikipedia text is because he suggested that I would use that text as a base. And check in the internet, both of them have done their path and fought and most likely deserve having an wikipedia page. It is not like I am promoting them. They are already really well know. Nationally and Internationally. I hope this sorts everything out and I am able to create the page please. If by any change you have suggestions to help me make the page better I will be happy. DaxServer, thanks. Paid or not, this editor has an obvious COI, and has produced several blatantly promotional and copyright infringing articles on the instructions of the company. I have therefore blocked the account, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:53, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey Jim, sorry, could you please revise your opinion on this? How should I do this correctly then? Iamanunkownuser (talk) 12:53, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry. I didn't know I shouldn't have done that. I will not do that again. Iamanunkownuser (talk) 22:39, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am doing a job for my internship. One of the tasks that was given to me was doing the Wikipedia of the two label co-founders and of the label itself. I am not being paid, there is no conflict of interests because I am not enlightening or trying to promote their interests. There is no conflict of interests. They are recognized and successful musicians and it would be interesting and important that they have a Wikipedia. They do a tremendous job and have been empowering electronic music in Lisbon. So if I am doing anything wrong or thinking wrong, can you explain why you blocked me. Also, Is there any way for me to do this process correctly then? Thank you Iamanunkownuser (talk) 13:46, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You have a clear conflict of interest. See WP:COI. This does not require that you be paid, as is clearly explained there. It was inappropriate and unethical for your manager to give you this task. Yamla (talk) 13:50, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
