That's turning into quite a nice little article on the subject, isn't it? I wish we had some better stuff for BOY (boutique) though... Regards, Hamster Sandwich (talk) 23:38, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- Er, my only contribution has been to revert a bit of vandalism. However, it is, at the very least, a halfway decent article. I dream of horses (T) @ 02:55, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Portland International Jetport
Hi, I spent the last half hour constructing a new Traffic and Statistics pane that meets the standards of many other airport pages. I'm removing the earlier content which is outdated and formatted in a way that doesn't meet conventions. Please look at my edits as a whole. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.240.79.124 (talk) 16:32, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
- My apologies. It's okay to remove your warnings. I dream of horses (T) @ 16:34, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia on Uzbeks
Hello I dream of Horses,
I have received two messages from you stating that my editing the Uzbeks section in the Wikipedia were attributed as vandalism. Could you please explain me based on what facts did you consider my edits as vandalism? I am UZBEK and with an education in history. I was trying to incorporate some historical facts from history of Uzbekistan on the Wikipedia itself. I would also cite some of the references I was using to correct the sections. It is very important for people to see the entire history of Uzbeks and how their identity evolved throughout their history starting from the BRONZE AGE. You should also consider historical facts of changes in demographical population among ethnic groups in Uzbekistan, specifically, the merging of Sarts with Uzbeks. All what you have in the section for Uzbeks is the period from the 13th to the 20th centuries. Since you have removed all of my changes, please learn the history of Uzbeks and re-edit the section.
Thank you.

- I reverted your edits, since you were deleting entire sections at once without an edit summary. I have, however, self reverted. You can remove the warnings if you want. I dream of horses (T) @ 00:24, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Consortium for Street Children
Hello,
I'm not sure if you have sent me a message for discussion but I am a friend of the employees of the CSC and promised them I would create their Wiki page.
The Consortium is a wonderful organisation and both the Chairman and the CEO have given me permission to use the text we have created incorporating much of the website text.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you in advance.

- It doesn't matter if you got permission from the CEO. Because of the complicated way Wikipedia is copyrighted, we can't use copyrighted material that's replaceable by non-copyrighted works. The material you're using is replaceable by your own words, which is then automatically copyrighted in the way Wikipedia is copyrighted (and therefore, okay). Here's how to "officially" request copyrighted material. --I dream of horses (T) @ 23:05, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- Hello again,
- I would like to keep the shorter edited version of the page. Can you please not remove my revisions. I will obtain the permission from the CSC as soon as possible.
- Thank you.
- If you don't remove the copyright template, then I won't revert the page. I think another editor might wish to look at it, and then help you out more than I can.
- You might also want to look at "incubating", or "userfying" the article for a bit until you feel more confident that the article meets our standards. You might also get help writing the article with less pressure on you, which is the main reason why I am suggesting this. I dream of horses (T) @ 23:37, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- How do I remove the copyright template?
- AFS2010 (talk) 23:40, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- Please don't. It looks suspiciously like vandalism. Somebody else will come and look at it, and do it for you. I dream of horses (T) @ 23:43, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- AFS2010 (talk) 23:40, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your insight. It's been very useful.
I think this is the last time I do a favour for an organisation - I'll finish up the CSC page but no more charity work with wiki!
Wikipedia is not as easy to use as I thought it would be!
Have a good evening.

- Yes, Wikipedia is rather complicated, and competence is required. I'm sorry you've found it so frustrating. I dream of horses (T) @ 00:11, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
I speedied this article, per your tag, then on review undeleted it and revised it to make it less spammy. He was on more than one Olympic team, far more than necessary per WP:SPORT: "Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the Summer or Winter Olympic games..." See [1], [2]. Edison (talk) 03:21, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Totally fine by me! :-) I dream of horses (T) @ 05:48, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- I read the amazingly spammy article about a dentist, speedied it, then noted on "My contributions" that I had deleted numerous links from Olympic and international competition pages. After a little research, I decided the little wrestler of the 1970's was so notable that all was needed was to despamify the dentist of the 21st century part. I made a mistake. If an admin never does anything, he never makes a mistake. The test is willingness to undo the mistakes. Regards! Edison (talk) 00:43, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for you work on new page patrol. However, please be careful with your tagging. You tagged this CSD A7 within 45 seconds and it turns out to be a highly notable academic. If in doubt, review again the instructions at WP:CSD and WP:NPP, and if you need any help understanding all those complexities of CSD, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. --Kudpung (talk) 14:54, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, sometimes I need a reminder to slow down. I dream of horses (T) @ 01:08, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.
For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:26, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
Consortium for Street Children
Hello,
We discussed my article about the CSC a few days ago and it is now deleted from My Contributions and no where to be found in Wikipedia? Has this been deleted for good? I thought I had a few days to get permission from the organisation and they are working on that.
Please advise if there is any way to retrieve this article or if I will need to re-enter it?
Let me know.
Thanks in advance.
AFS2010 (talk) 15:32, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- It does seem as though the article has been deleted. Don't fear, though. While we have a way called "Oversight" to delete things forever, that's nearly always used in cases where deleting things forever actually makes sense.
- You might want to read about our notability standards, then check into the article incubator, though. I dream of horses (T) @ 10:30, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
