Speedy deletion nomination of PermaGO edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on PermaGO, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. qedk (tc) 21:09, 25 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

No, you can't "get the article fixed with some minor edits". In order to make it not an advertisement you would have to completely rewrite most if not all of the prose. If you really can't see how that article was advertising then I suspect you may be too close to the subject to write about it objectively. If you have any connection to this company at all then I strongly recommend you read WP:COI before making any further edits related to it. Hut 8.5 06:41, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I'm not particularly interested in creating an article on this company. I'd suggest:
  • The teahouse and help desk are resources where new editors can ask for help with editing Wikipedia.
  • You can use the articles for creation process, which will give you feedback on an article before it gets moved to mainspace.
  • You can try to find a relevant WikiProject and see if any of the members want to help you write it. Try the other options first though.

Speedy deletion nomination of PermaGO Inc. edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on PermaGO Inc., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:PermaGO edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Draft:PermaGO, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. June 2019 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:22, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

HirmizM (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I'm just trying to get this website figured out and it seems like I just get punished and nobody is explaining what I'm doing wrong here. Upon further research I figured out what went wrong and am currently working on the page. Instead of "spam" requesting help from Wikipedia, I'll do my own research in the future. Taken directly from Wikipedia's blocking policy: "Before a block is imposed, efforts should be made to educate users about Wikipedia policies and guidelines, and to warn them when their behavior conflicts with these. Welcome newcomers, do not bite them, and assume that most people who work on the project are trying to help it, not hurt it. Newcomers should make an effort to learn about our policies and guidelines so that they can learn how to avoid making mistakes. A variety of template messages exist for convenience, although purpose-written messages are often preferable. Template warnings that state that a user may be blocked for disruption or other blockable behavior may also be issued by regular editors rather than by administrators only. However, warnings are not a prerequisite for blocking. In general, administrators should ensure that users who are acting in good faith are aware of policies and are given reasonable opportunity to adjust their behavior before blocking, and it may be particularly desirable to communicate first with such users before blocking. On the other hand, users acting in bad faith, whose main or only use is forbidden activity (sockpuppetry, vandalism, and so on), do not require any warning and may be blocked immediately." I was given ZERO indication why I'm being blocked, I was given ZERO indication I was even at risk of being blocked, and in all my article revisions I didn't get any actual details on whats wrong with my article until I had to basically BEG for it. I'm not a spammer, I am trying to learn how to create tangible content for Wikipedia. Based on this experience, the only people I've dealt with are trigger happy admins who didn't explain what I did wrong, rather, they sent to some generic article that gave some extremely vague explanation that has nothing to do with my content. HirmizM (talk) 22:45, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You are blocked for Spam//advertising. Your draft was inappropriate for an encyclopedia (fine for a business directory, but that's not what Wikipedia is; see WP:NOT). You've referred to PermaGO as "my company" and refused to address this. You've stated "me and my client", which outright states you've been engaging in undisclosed paid editing here. We aren't interested in having you write about your client, that's a clear violation of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. You've been pretty blatantly violating Wikipedia's terms of use and given that, there's probably no path for you to be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 23:46, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

(Non-administrator comment) Why did you mean by my company in this message? Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:01, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

According to the explanation I received, the company I'm creating the page for is not relevant to an encyclopedia. It is not my personal company.

(Non-administrator comment) You uploaded some images on commons, claiming the source "Perry Chan, PermaGO" and claiming the images are released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International license. If you have nothing to do with the company, what led you to the conclusion that the images were released under that license? Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 23:18, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
I don't think this is fruitful. I highlighted the fact that the images used in the article (not the draft) were blatant copyright infringements to a Commons administrator. At first HirmizM said they had permission to use them. The administrator very nicely outlined the steps for HirmizM to demonstrate that permission, at which point they pulled back and said go ahead and "remove" them. I don't trust anything this user says, and I don't think any more discussion is needed, although I know you're trying to help.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:26, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I do have permission to use the images, however, I read through the page on how to prove it and it's insanely complicated so me and my client deemed it more of a headache than its worth so we simply removed them from the page. You and I have a very different definition of "nicely outlined." All I got was some copy paste from the support page that is complicated I dont even know what it's asking for. If your definition of "nicely outlined" is giving me the same information I already have access to and didn't even make any other attempt at explaining, I don't really know why your're here. I was under the impression admins help users, not bully them into submission

  • Because of the user's misguided ranting, I have revoked TPA.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:47, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Bbb23: See the SPI I filed a while ago. Last I checked edits, it was only edits to PermaGO, if deleted contribs don't show any more, that account is a meat (probably another UPE client/company account). --qedk (tc) 21:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
