Disambiguation link notification for April 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Woollim Entertainment, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Golden Child (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

About Chinese girl group Rocket Girls. edit

Hi, I think Rocket Girls' Chinese name is "火箭少女101", with the "101" part, as they announced on the final episode of Produce 101 China; and the Chinese Wikipedia page of Rocket Girls is also named (火箭少女101). KenniS (talk) 07:36, 5 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi KenniS. I removed "101" as according to the article's name which is Rocket Girls, not Rocket Girls 101. But don't worry about it, "火箭少女101" has already added onto "Also known as" parameter in the infobox. Heolkpop (talk) 03:27, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Iz one edit

The term “South Korean-Japanese” is one of the key points in the background how this group was made. In a sense, expression with both countries as their origination is not appropriate. Although many articles and presses use it as the representative wording, that is just simply convenient way to give people the idea of the group. However, “IZ*ONE” is strictly the girl group made by South Korean variety show “Produce 48” and there was no entities such as any Japanese staffs, directing etc. How would you call this as “Co-production”? That is more correct to call it like “Collaboration”. Furthermore, think about the impression to people who don’t know about the background. When they read it and understand like “Co-production”, they would think it’s a girl group made by both South Korea and Japan like the half and half. However, it’s totally wrong. This is a sensitive issue for Korean fans because it would be delivered in the wrong way like this group is organized by mainly Japanese with some Koreans. It will possibly happen. Koreans made whole things and why should not their efforts be deserved as they did? Mkenny6 (talk) 04:03, 4 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Mkenny6: Like what we have previously discussed on your talk page and Talk:Iz One, if you have sources from reliable news outlets to back up your statements, feel free to share them, but until you do, I can't really back you up on this. Please read WP:NEUTRAL, WP:ORIGINAL, and WP:RELIABLE. It's Wikipedia's policy to deliver a neutral point of view, and you continuing to edit against consensus will lead to competence issues on your part. I have already warned you about edit warring. lullabying (talk) 04:45, 4 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Recommend edit summaries edit

Hi Heolkpop, I would recommend leaving a reason for removing someone's edits such as with this revert. It lets the editor know what they did wrong. You can easily "template" a user with one of these more common templates: WP:TUSER. Be careful that you don't escalate the level inappropriately. Use a vandalism template only if the others don't fit. I.e. that one on Iz one should probably use {{uw-unsourced1|Iz one}}. Templating helps get problematic editors reported properly to wp:AIV and would help avoid your being blocked for wp:EW. I would suggest reviewing wp:vandalism to understand the Wikipedia meaning of the word. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 23:57, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Jim1138: Hi Jim, I understand. I do "template" users for vandalism but only when the edit is malicious. I will be sure to follow your advice as mine is definitely not a good practice. Thank you for the heads-up. Heolkpop (talk) 02:47, 6 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

April 2020 edit

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 02:32, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Drmies: In what way are they unreliably sourced? There is a consensus among WP:KO users that using Naver links are still appropriate. The fact that you are still calling unreliable despite the community consensus is definitely what Wikipedia is against. Even on WP:KO/RS, it is clearly stated that Naver links, excluding those link to the blog side, can be used for reference. And I say again, if you are against with this consensus, please raise your concern there. Heolkpop (talk) 02:53, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
I explained that a few times already. Your edit summaries, unfortunately, don’t make a lot of sense. That RS page just looks like a list made up by a few people: there is no discussion on Naver on the talk page, let alone consensus. K-pop is already plagued by an overdose of marketing: not being able to tell the difference between a portal run by an entertainment company and a journalistic publication is not unexpected. Drmies (talk) 03:15, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Drmies: Apologies if my edit summaries do not make sense as I felt it is better to engage on talk page where I could elaborate further. The proper example of Naver is MSN. For example, in this news article, it is written by Mark Kennedy of Associated Press but it is published on MSN. You may probably find the same article on the AP site itself and the content will still be the same. What I am trying to say is that Naver works exactly like this. Naver also has a section called "News" which helps to conveniencely collate and find related news articles per the search bar. So not just K-pop, you can also search for news articles relating to the current political and economical state of South Korea or other countries (if you can read Hangul), as example here. Also, you got it all wrong – Naver is not an entertainment company but a search engine. I am puzzled how did you come to this conclusion. Heolkpop (talk) 03:50, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
And that article should be cited from the AP, not from "MSN". Naver is indeed a company that does all kinds of things, and entertainment is one of them; look it up at Naver (corporation), so that's how I came to that conclusion. "Portal" and "search engine" are very much related terms. You still insist that it's somehow OK to cite a search engine; what's odd is that you are here, edit warring over a basic issue (in a GA, no less), wasting everyone's time, while you could just have proven your point by citing the original source. It's really not that difficult. Drmies (talk) 14:03, 20 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Drmies: Accusing me of edit warring when I offer you a discussion on Exo's talk page? There is a huge difference between Naver the corporation (conglomerate) and Naver the search engine; the latter is subsidiary of the former. Adding Naver-link sources would undermine its GA status? Then explain to me why are there still references linking to Naver in that Exo article? How did it get GA in the first place? Heolkpop (talk) 13:02, 21 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
