Prep 7 edit

Hi, Hdolf! Thanks for helping out with prep set building at DYK. I notice you promoted most of the hooks that I reviewed, which I couldn't promote myself, so that's really helpful. Please note that you have 6 U.S. hooks in a row in Prep 7. The max for any set is 50%, or 4 U.S. hooks (see Rule J3), and they should be spaced out. Thanks again, Yoninah (talk) 10:07, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Yoninah. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll move some around. Thanks for the note, Hdolf (talk) 10:28, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Pappajohn Sculpture park in Prep 1 edit

Hi Hdolf, thanks for promoting my DYK submission of Pappajohn Sculpture Park. I was made aware in my commons talk page (about another file I uploaded) that there may be restrictions to images of public art in the US: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/United_States#Freedom_of_panorama

I didn't know about this before and just today saw the rules. It seems to me that this rule is not very actively enforced, but I think it may be an issue if it appears in the main page. I will probably have to remove all the images from my article even though I got them from Commons, which will make it much less attractive. Could it please be moved to a non-picture slot?

Thanks and sorry for the trouble. Including yoninah to get their opinion.

Regards, Alan Islas (talk) 20:59, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Alan Islas. Many thanks for making me aware. I've just checked and it seems that someone else has already gone ahead and moved to a non-picture lot in prep area 1. Thanks, Hdolf (talk) 17:48, 8 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Prep 3 edit

Hi, you forgot to add the DYK credits when you promoted this hook. The page had also been moved, so I corrected the link and added the DYK credits. Did you notice that five out of eight hooks in this set have dates in them? We try to vary the hook wording. Best, Yoninah (talk) 11:35, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I was just about to mention this haha. I have added for him at the time being, Yoninah. VincentLUFan (talk) (Kenton!) 13:14, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for catching that Vincent and Yoninah! It also looks like I moved Leslie Goonewardene to prep pre-emptively. Apologies for that Hdolf (talk) 20:42, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
