There is such user, after all

edit

Hello. May I suggest that your indefinite block of my account uk:Користувач:No_such_user (followed by no less than talk page access disabling), just on the basis of "inappropriate username" was a bit hasty? I'm an experienced and trusted user on English Wikipedia (the only language where my name actually means something). I understand Ukrainian just enough to understand most of uk:ВП:ІК, and I don't see which bullet my username violates. I haven't even made a single edit, nor do I plan to edit uk.wiki (except maybe to fix some interwiki stuff), so I don't bother much, but this sort of preemptive hardblocking with an arbitrary reason is pretty appalling. No such user (talk) 12:40, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello? I'd expect an answer, since you apparently are here. No such user (talk) 13:00, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
@No such user: good evening. It was wrong block. I incorrectly interpreted the rule. I bring a sincere and big apology. Unblocked. — Green Zero обг 16:24, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cree Wikipedia

edit

The article Cree Wikipedia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Fails WP:WEB and notability is not inherited.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. June 2016

edit

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. This page has been moved before. There is no indication that the WP:COMMONNAME has changed. Please start an RM if you want it to move. Either way, I think it very unlikely that the club would be referred to tautologically as Dnipro Dnipro. Fenix down (talk) 12:51, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Okay. — Green Zero обг 12:54, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, happy for an RM to start as it will need renaming at some point in the near gfuture, but there will probably be differing opinions on what the actual name should be. Fenix down (talk) 13:04, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

MobiDev

edit

Hello, you approached me earlier to see if I would patrol the article you created at MobiDev. Unfortunately, after looking into the article, I do not feel sufficiently familiar with the standards of company-related articles to patrol this page.

While I made the changes I felt comfortable making, the article needs more work in addition to my changes, and I feel that such work is better done by someone familiar with the subject and/or editing in the business subject areas of Wikipedia. I asked another patroller for their opinion, which overlapped with my own: there are genuine claims of notability made but the article has too much of a promotional slant at this point. (Among other things, it makes several statements that should be backed up by a better source than a press release or removed from the article)

As such, I have decided to pass on patrolling this article and leave it for someone else more familiar with the subject-matter and Wikipedia's rules and guidelines surrounding it. I hope you understand. Have a nice day, AddWittyNameHere 07:22, 9 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Restored MobiDev article to User:Green Zero/MobiDev

edit

Hi Green Zero, per your email request, I've restored the MobiDev article as a userspace draft at User:Green Zero/MobiDev. Before publishing the draft, please ensure that the article contains independent reliable sources with enough significant coverage to show that MobiDev meets the notability guideline on corporations. In particular, Medium (RSP entry) is not a reliable source, press releases are not independent sources, and simple listings do not count as significant coverage. Good luck. — Newslinger talk 08:12, 7 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
