Hello Gold Apple! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I think its very important for you to browse through some of the links below so as to become familiar with how Wikipedia works. If you need help you ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and another Wikipedian will show up shortly. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or by typing four tildes "~~~~"; this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you are already loving Wikipedia and plan on becoming a Wikipedian you might consider being "adopted" by a more experienced editor, just paste {{Adoptme}} into your userpage and you will be gladly adopted! You may also consider joining a WikiProject so you can collaborate with others to create and improve articles of your interest. Here is a directory of all the WikiProjects there are. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Happy editing! TeckWizTalkContribs@ 19:50, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pictures

edit
  • These two will describe everything you need, and if doesnt let me know (:O)
  1. Wikipedia:Uploading images
  2. Wikipedia:Picture tutorial
  • I want to bring something up though, you may want to upload your picture via Wikimedia commons instead of wikipedia, especially if its your own. Why? Well if you upload your picture in Wikipedia, you and anyone else can only use your picture in wikipedia. But if you upload your picture via Wikimedia commons, you and anyone else will be able to use that picture in all the Wiki project (wikipedia, wikinews, wikiquotes, wikisource, etc...). The process to use the picture is the same no matter where you upload in any wiki project (whether its wikipedia, wikicommons,etc...). My suggestion would be to upload via wikimedia commons istead of wikipedia so you can use this picture globally instead of being restricted to using the picture only in wikipedia ... let me know if you have any other questions (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 22:56, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Example for http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Smile.jpg ... notice how this picture is on wikimedia commons and yet we can use it on wikipedia (:O)

<!--  Commented out: [[Image:smile.jpg|right|thumb|Smile]] -->

Example for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Maharishimaheshyogi.jpg ... notice how this picture is on wikipedia and yet we use it the same way as the smile picture on wikimedia commons (:O)

Hello Gold Apple, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Maharishimaheshyogi.jpg) was found at the following location: User talk:Gold Apple. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 13:23, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maharishi University of Management

edit
  • great update, but make sure (if possible) to cite or add references to the data you added because someone can just remove it in the future or put the {{tl:fact}} tag next to anything they question because there is no reference to look upon. Now it is not necessary, but my experience has taught me its better to add them (:O) -Nima Baghaei talk · cont · email 19:06, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maharishi University of Managenemt#Campus

edit

I saw your addition to Maharishi University of Management. However, there's already a section "The campus" Maharishi University of Management#The campus; I think you have to merge the two sections. --Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 01:23, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Samuel. I saw your message here, so I went ahead and fixed it. TimidGuy 11:35, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
