Some advice

edit

Hello Frank! I've noticed a lot of your edits get reverted. This is because other editors don't think they are an improvement to the article. The solution then is not to repeatedly instate your change, but rather to start a discussion on the talk page. Yo can read more about this process at Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. For more information about Wikipedia generally considers good images and captions you can see the pages WP:IMAGES and WP:CAPTIONS. You can also use the edit summary underneath the edit box to explain why you made a certain edit.

If you continue to repeatedly add content that is not considered productive without discussion you will likely be blocked in the future. I'm happy to answer any Wikipedia questions you may have. Happy editing! --Trialpears (talk) 21:24, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

January 2022 - edit warring, no explanations or summaries

edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - Special-T (talk) 00:06, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Article images

edit

Please STOP changing the picture, or the caption, or both, of the lead image in so many biographical articles. Changes in any longstanding lead picture have to be discussed at the talk page, and consensus must be reached to change them. These repeated changes are disruptive and most of them have been immediately reverted. Consider this your FINAL WARNING that you will be blocked from editing if you continue to change the picture or portrait of the person, sometimes more than once, without consensus or even discussion. -- MelanieN (talk) 04:40, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent edit warring to change images in high visibility articles and a complete lack of communication or response to concerns raised. You can be unblocked once you provide an appeal that addresses these issues.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:51, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
