Welcome edit

Hello, Forthesimpleandpureliving, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Low residue diet have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

October 2011 edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 09:42, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

High residue diet edit

When you write "High Residue diet is one of the healthiest and most modern diets," you need to provide a citation to verify the claim. You cannot just say it and expect it to be taken as fact, remember Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia.

I'm just trying to help!   wp:first article may also be of interest. Happy Editing!. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 10:18, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from High residue diet. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 10:37, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at High residue diet with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed.   Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to High residue diet with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 10:46, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

 * Again I am trying to help you. I (and any other editors) are allowed to edit the articile too. You do not wp:own it, even though you started it. So, when I format a reference as it is normally done here per our Manual of Style, perhaps you should look at what I have done rather than revert it back to what it was?. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 10:51, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

 * We have a rule here called 3RR. It means you can be blocked from editing for making more than 3 reverts on any article in 24 hours. Please see wp:3RR. - 220.101 talk\Contribs 10:54, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi! edit

Hi, Forthesimpleandpureliving,
I have been editing here for just over two years and have thousands of edits to my credit, you have just started today, so I will 'cut' you a great deal of slack. We also call this "AGF" meaning: Assume Good Faith. I assume that you want to write an article to improve Wikipedia. I try to help out by giving advice to newcomwers, and editing articles. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary by putting maintenance wp:templates ie. "refimprove" on the page. This needs to be done, as one reference is not enough. Verifiability is very important here.

When we leave you a message, it would be a good idea to reply, and take some note of what other editors we say as it would be very unfortuante to be blocked on your first day by inadvertently breaking a rule, like 3RR. Also remember this is a collaborative work. We all work together to improve Wikipedia. Regards, 220.101 talk\Contribs 11:18, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to High residue diet. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. (Please?) - 220.101 talk\Contribs 12:06, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at High residue diet, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. I'm sorry, but your edits are disruptive. You are treating the article as if you own it (see WP:OWN), and your edits are contrary to our guidelines and rules of engagement--contrary to half an alphabet's worth of 'em, including WP:OR ("no original research") and WP:WAR ("no edit warring"). Drmies (talk) 15:15, 7 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of One Week for Disruptive Editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Speedy deletion nomination of Wikipedia:Articles for creation/high residue diet edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:Articles for creation/high residue diet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. j⚛e deckertalk 20:36, 7 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
