Thanks for your message about Daniel Stevens (soccer). I have taken a look at the player page and found a number of references. Captaining FC Buffalo is significant. His international career in Finland is also significant. I have improved on the article, added the necessary references which please check and upgraded the article from deletion to refimprove. Since Daniel played in Finland, here is a beautiful video footage about Finnish football culture that I dedicate to you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOWdF74Qvok Meanwhile send me more online references on him so that we can solidify continuation of this page on English Wikipedia and do update the age with further progress in the coming seasons, werldwayd (talk) 22:57, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Now that the article has been nominated for discussion for deletion for a second time around, See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniel Stevens (soccer) (2nd nomination), we do need some further references we could add. The first discussion for deletion wasn't very sympathetic as you note, as all contributors recommended deletion. I have left a note about recommending keeping the article this time around. But there is so much that one single editor can do you know. My policy as a main editor is to try once and then move on frankly to other matters. My attitude is, one article more, one article less will not make a difference. To me at least. I have created or contributed to thousands of articles. Some were also nominated to deletion. Yours was one single contribution to one player page. If you want the article to survive, you have to pitch in with more references to establish further notability of the player. Otherwise, the Finnish language article would be enough I guess to cover his present activity in Finland. It is quite extensive and will make him visible in his present Finnish footbal league. werldwayd (talk) 23:52, 25 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
