My rfa edit

Thanks for voting in my Rfa, which I withdrew from yesterday. Though I did not get promoted, I see this Rfa as being a success nonetheless. What I got out of this Rfa will help me to be a better, all around editor. Because of this Rfa I have decided to become better in other areas of editing. I'm not going to just be a vandalfighter. Though vandalfighting is good, being active in all areas of editing is even better. Have a nice day.--SJP 22:29, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

My recent RfA edit

Thank you for participating in my recent RfA. Although the voting ended at 36/22/5, there was no consensus to promote, and the RfA was unsuccessful. I would like the thank you nonetheless for supporting me during the RfA, and hope that any future RfA’s proceed better than this one did. Again, I thank you for your support. ≈ The Haunted Angel Review Me! 02:08, 3 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you to everyone who participated in my Request for adminship, which was successful at 50/5/0 on November 5th, 2007.

Try not to be. When my RFA failed, I was pissed for a few minutes; but then I thought: "you know what, I should listen to these guys and try to improve my editing. Then I'll make an even better admin than when I was first nominated." And personally, I do think Eddie (Agubanya) is right. You should try to see if you can get a vandal to chnage his mind I think. I'm serious, I know someone who used to be a vandal and he's a good contributor today. Cheers,JetLover (Report a mistake) 04:23, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's not personal edit

I rarely oppose an RfA. Your thin skin (evident even in your withdrawal, and the evident hurt feelings you harbor) was one of my main concerns, and a HUGE redflag for an admin candidate. Until you learn to take criticism without being offended by it--or alternatively ascribing nefarious motives to "the opposers"--you will have a difficult time getting through an RfA. Best regards, K. Scott Bailey 04:32, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if my comment came across as sarcastic, I was trying to lighten the mood a little. I hope you're not discouraged, with anon IP page creation being re-enabled on Friday (aaargh!) we need experienced vandalfighters at newpages more than ever. Tim Vickers 05:01, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your Failed Rfa edit

I am sorry that it did not do well:( I have full faith you would have done well, but I guess the community did not. Do not get to offended by the criticism, and learn from it. Try to write a GA article. That would be a major help. Also, wait at least 6 months before trying again. I am sure you will be an admin in the future. Cheers!--SJP:Happy Verterans Day! 12:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the above. I am somewhat dismayed by the failure of your RFA, although I realise it is your 3rd nomination, IMO that shouldn't really be a reason to oppose, unless of course the user in question (generalisation alert) has not learnt from any criticism in the past. I fully believe that you will become a sysop in later months. Good luck with the re-try which should undoubtedly happen. Regards, Rudget Contributions 17:46, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Heh. No, not yet. The most important job in an encyclopedia is adding content. I have done none of that, yet, and in my own standards of myself, I shouldn't be an admin till I have done that at least for a good while. I think I will start adding to math articles come winter break when I have time off from college and have time to do things other than vandal-fight. Though it does seem to be the season, though... so many are being sysoped lately. As for nomming me... Revert of User: HarrisonB edit

Hello NHRHS2010, I noticed the revert that you did on my userpage. The 'vandal' that removed work from my page is actually my IP, which can be seen in the edit summary of the IP. The reason that I edited with my IP is because I was cut short of time after logging out, and noticed that I had false information on my userpage layout that I derived from User: Animum so I had to quickly convert it into a wordpad document so I wouldn't be frauding as a sysop etc. Thanks anyway, but please read the edit summary before reverting work. RfA edit

I just wanted to explain that I use the "#"'s because from what I understand, that's the proper format on RfA discussions. And I did it like "#:" as opposed to "#". Doing "#:" indents my comment, and prevents my post from reading like an oppose, support or neutral. I used to not do it like that before, but other users changed my format to make it look like that(numbering).--U.S.A.U.S.A.U.S.A. 01:22, 13 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Scott5114's RFA edit

Thank you for supporting me in my recent RFA nomination. Unfortunately, I have withdrawn the nom early at 17/13/3. I am presently going to undergo admin coaching in preparation for a second candidacy somewhere down the line. I hope to see your continued support in the future.
