Revised name template

I fixed the derived issues you were having. It was just a matter of capitalization that was wrong and that screwed up the whole thing. It should work fine now. Remember 21:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adminship...

Thanks for the thought. I don't think I would accept at this point. I still feel relatively inexperienced and there are several (at least!) policy points that I'm really not sure about. Some point in the future, yes I would definitely consider it but not just yet. But thanks very much for the suggestion, it's nice to feel appreciated! --BelovedFreak 22:01, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the offer, but I haven't done a lot of article creation, I just mainly do cleanup and vandalism hunting. I think I'll decline for now, but I acppreciate the offer. Corvus cornix 21:50, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adminship

I didn't get universal approval by any means. :) My RFA showed plenty of concern over time in service. --Moonriddengirl 00:08, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

You might also want to look at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Number 57. Some RfAs are very tense. I took a glance at your most recent RfA, and it seems like there might have been some concern that you needed experience in other areas of Wikipedia besides fighting vandalism? I imagine you've been addressing that. Believe me, it will be helpful to you if you do become an admin to be familiar with many different parts of Wikipedia. People show up asking me questions about policies and procedures quite often. :) --Moonriddengirl 00:19, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Wow. Talk about a tense RfA! Good luck if you decide to try again. :) --Moonriddengirl 00:34, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

First Template Created

I just created my first template today. It's for the future though. It's called Template:2008 NL West standings which is related to the 2008 MLb season. LADodgersAngelsfan 07:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

RFA

I see your offer was declined again. I read what you put on one of the admins pages saying you would be doing mainspace edits (non reverting) on odd # days and revert vandalism on even # days. Want to team up with me and BrianY for the baseball season pages? There isn't much to do now because its the playoffs, but there are many new pages we would have to add for the next season. Even though you reverted a lot of vandalism and did many other things, I don't think you have much experience with templates and researching. When I edit baseball season pages I have to do research and edit (which takes more time to revert vandalism). It was hard for me at first, but I got use to everything by May. There are a lot of statistics that have to be constantly updated for the MLB seasons so that can be a great way for you to get your adminship. I would try to think of other easy mainspace edits for you to edit so after you get a lot of mainspace edits you can probably become an admin. Hope you become an admin soon. :) LADodgersAngelsfan 07:45, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The vandal

The Kate McAuliffe vandal has created "BOT" names before (see here), and it wouldn't surprise me if that was the Kate McAuliffe vandal. That also means, however, that the user called "Ryulong Ryulong Ryulong Ryulong" is also the Kate McAuliffe vandal, as that vandal recreated the Boricuaeddia account. I also wonder if the Kate McAuliffe vandal was behind the vandalism and trolling to my user and talk page a few months ago, as well as to Phaedriel's and Natalie Erin's talk pages. Acalamari 22:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, it's either him, or someone copying him. :) Acalamari 22:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adminship

I didn't mean you your adminship. I meant if you work with me and BrianY you might get an adminship beacuse we edit a whole bunch of baseball related stuff. We haven't been doing much recently because baseball season is over and now its the playoffs. After the playoffs, basketball starts, but theres twice as less games in basketball than baseball so I can do much the next couple of months. LADodgersAngelsfan 22:58, 6 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

It said you made that much edits excluding deleted edits. I see that you enjoy editing names. I don't know much about names. So today is the 6th so you're reverting vandalism, right? LADodgersAngelsfan 23:06, 6 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Very Busy Too

I am very busy too. You told me you were in the Honors classes so it must be hard. Heard that there a whole bunch of worksheets they give to work on. We don't get as much as you do not only because I'm a couple of years younger than you. It's because we have a lot of projects. We have a big project that we have to do part by part. The project is recieved in June and has to be finished by April. You have to choose a very specific topic and you have to get into very deep research. You need to right a ten page report. If the topic does not work you would have to choose a different one. You also have to turn in a product that is related to the project. You also need to make a presentation too. The report is due in January (rough draft), the product and presentation (ppt.) is due in April. It's worth 10% of each of our academic areas (other than math). —Preceding unsigned comment added by LADodgersAngelsfan (talkcontribs) 23:23, 6 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is there actually any advantage of being an administrator? I haven't always been the most pleasant person on WP, even if I've always strode to be doing whats best for the encyclopedia, and I'm sure in discussing my RfA this would come up. As such, I have doubts that I'd pass the process, and I think as much as I strive to follow WP:PG, I actually know very little of it. Have you ever been nominated before? 900 edits

I just got my 900th edit (this is 901) and it isn't just special because I got my 900 total edits it's the same one I got my 100th template edit! You know when you said you were busy adding boxes in the mainspace articles about names? I hope you're interested in baseball because we have I whole bunch of things we need to add for the next baseball season. Almost every single day from April to September people have to update the information. The problem is do template edits count as mainspace edits. Instead of just putting the info into articles we put things like standings and game logs in a template. Like for the standings templates we have to add them to four to six articles. So is it still like mainspace edits? LADodgersAngelsfan 03:18, 18 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:UAA

Hello there,

Edit Milestones / Wikipedia Interests / Mainspace Edits

When you put your milestones do you count the ones that are deleted? A couple weeks ago we talked about the mainspace pages. I think to you adding the boxes for names are much easier than me editing the baseball pages. To me it's different. I guess it's based on our interests. I told you I made 40 edits on the 2007 LA Dodgers page. I'm not going to do anymore edits on it. I would have to wait until baseball season starts. I like basketball (NBA), but I don't think it's much fun editing because for baseball I can edit everyday, but for basketball I can only make half as much edits and I guess more adults are interested in watching NBA and editing NBA. Basketball season starts at the end of the month. You know when you said you would make mainspace edits every other day and revert vandalism every other day? I can only revert vandalism after I finish editing all the stats for baseball it's already at night. At night, there isn't a lot of vandalism. I'm still going to be a recent changes patroller, but I would do it once in a while. I get beaten easily when I revert vandalism, but after you taught me the easier way I still lose very often, but my confidence is much higher. Hope you make your 10,000 edits soon. And are you going to add your 10,000 Wikipedia edit on your big milestones. Just to tell you I'm shocked that you keep track of almost all the airplane rides on your userpage. So that probably means you are very interested in traveling right? If you are interested in it, you can edit "travel" related articles. I hope the advice on the mainspace edits would help you. Dear NHRHS2010, Proper Article for Tau Gamma Phi, requesting for respect and thanks.

Tau Gamma Phi—the Triskelion’s Grand Fraternity— is a social organization of higher education students in The Philippines, founded on a similar model to the fraternities of the United States and Canada.

The organization, originally known as the "Order of the U.P. Triskelions", was founded on October 4, 1968 by four Arts and Science students from the University of the Philippines, in the Diliman campus, Quezon City, Philippines. The group swelled in ranks and gained its recognition when the Greek-lettered name Tau Gamma Phi was adopted. A few years later, chapters from other college and university campuses in the Philippines were established.

The Tau Gamma Phi aims for the promotion and achievement of the ideals of fraternal brotherhood. The fraternity believes that it must forge its members to embody qualities of leadership, commitment, persistence, trust, integrity, respect, and vision. This fraternity aims for academic success, personal, career and spiritual growth, active participation in the community through service and social activities. The Tau Gamma Phi is committed to developing a best-in-class brotherhood organization: a student organization that embodies its own ideals and mission in accordance to fraternity’s Tenets and Code of Conduct.

A member of Tau Gamma Phi is called a Triskelion. Triskelion is a "Three Legged Symbol" as shown on the fraternity seal, (also used as a symbol of Brittany, Sicily and the Isle of Man) though its origin is a mystery. A Triskelion has always lived up to the motto, "it will stand no matter where you throw it", which accompanies its seal — Strength, Free Will and Brotherhood.

The turbulent 60’s was a decade of social and political upheavals in the annals of Philippine History. The period saw the breakdown of traditional beliefs and long-held values in favor of newer and more progressive ideas. In almost every aspect of Philippine life and culture, CHANGE seemed to be the rightful order of the day.

The Fraternity system in the University of the Philippines was immune from these external developments. As extraordinary times, called for and breed extraordinary men. 1968 saw the wielding together of 25 concerned student leaders with a vision of introducing change and reforms in the feudal and decadent nature of the existing Fraternity System. Then the result was the creation on October 4 of the same year of the UP Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity, better known as Tau Gamma Phi.

Through the years, the Tau Gamma Phi has never strayed from it’s goals, and although the cause of which it has chosen to champion has proven to be difficult and sometimes, seemingly hopeless, the Fraternity has, nevertheless survived and even increased a thousand-fold in strength and in number, knowing fully well that peace is a product of strength and not of weakness, where other fraternities with the same noble intentions failed to succumbed into non-existence by adopting a passive resistance to fraternity violence; the Tau Gamma Phi has chosen not to follow the same path lest it suffers the same fate.

Furthermore, as a manifestation of its sincerity towards the achievement of such goal, the Fraternity has taken an active role in organizing inter-fraternity alliances in the various schools and universities all over the country in the hope that such alliances will provide the conducive atmosphere where fraternities can slowly grow and mature together in a fellowship of mutual trust and respect in each other’s philosophies and ideals. "De gustibus non desputandum est - of likes and dislikes there should be no disputing, live and let live", this is one of the guiding principles of the Triskelions.

Today, the Tau Gamma Phi is already one of the biggest, most cohesive, and most dynamic fraternities in the Philippines. It boast of membership of every colleges and universities around the country, and now in all regions of the United States of America and other continents of the world; and true to its objective of changing the elitist orientation of the fraternity system, the Fraternity had decided to open its door to out-of-school youth (TYM/Triskelion Youth Movement) so that they, who were not privileged of education, may also share in the fruits and the glory of the Tau Gamma Phi. With the participation of the Triskelion Youth Movement (TYM), the fraternity has evolved to become a social organization with a strong objective to reach out to all sectors of the society especially those who are in difficult situations such as typhoons, floods, fires, and other calamities that affects the well being of every individual.

To date, the fraternity has thousands of resident and alumni members from every college and university in the Philippines. Professional Triskelions are actively involved in their respective fields of interests such as Triskelion Order of Law (TOL) for Law Students, Triskelion Order of Medicine (TOM) for medical practitioners, Triskelion Order of Business (TOB) for corporate leaders, businessmen and entrepreneurs, and the Triskelion Law Enforcement Group (TriLEG) for Law Enforcers.

At present, International Chapters, Councils and Coordinating Bodies are activated namely: Triskelion International (TI) and Triskelion Alumni Organizations (TAO) of the Middle East Region, Europe and Asia and Triskelion Global Coordinating Council (TGCC) of the Philippines and the Triskelion Grand Foundation (TGF) of Northern America whose main goal is to uplift the well being of the Supreme Fraternity and Bagong Tao Movement (BTM) a duly accredited party list organization for a better Triskelion future. Tau Gamma Phi vision and mission to serve and excel in all fields of human endeavor. Thus, a way of life in accordance with the Tenets and the Triskelion Code of Conduct while empowering the principle: "Man is Brother unto Man".

RFA

I read the request for adminship you had a couple of months ago. The people that opposes you go really tough on you right like the bot operator person who said you lacked mainspace edits (other than reverting vandalism) and the user who said you don't even have a hundred edits in talk pages. I would definetly support you because I think you created a lot of pages in Wikipedia. I saw some pages that are about some sort of airline related stuff, schools, etc. I wonder why the bot operator user said you lacked mainspace edits. I guess he/she believes that you have to have something you are really interested in to become an admin (like make 100s and 100s of edits on that certain page). Remember I told you about the user BrianY. He made over 200 edits in one of the articles. In fact, he has more mainspace edits than user talk edits even though I talked to him a lot about baseball related stuff. LADodgersAngelsfan 01:29, 29 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see that you supported for Hdt83 on his 4th request for adminship. I supported him very strongly, but even though there are much more supports than opposes, I guess the opposes are really strong. The user Politics rule is going very hard on him, but the user was blocked indefinetely for being a sock puppet of another user. If he fails this time I don't think he should nominate himself again because some people said he nominated himself four times since late May. He did better and better, but I'm not sure if his chances would get lower and lower if he continues to nominate himself every short period of time. Since you know Hdt83 so well why don't you nominate for him (only if he fails)? Based on the supports and opposes I guess his chances of becoming an admin is 50 50.
