- Removed school board as not relevant to Australia
- Changed province to state and enrollment to enrolment per Australian convention
- I didn't change the following:
- Grade -> Year
- Remove school district as only exists in the most formal of senses in Australia

- Id hate to be a dampener on the great work that has been put into the infobox, but we already have two infoboxes dealing with Australian schools: Template:Infobox Aust school private and Template:Infobox Aust school, aswell as some schools even using Template:Infobox school (which they shouldn't). I like the template, it needs some working to become further in line with WP:SCH, but i just dont see any real use for it. Twenty Years 11:29, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: Issues at a Private Christian School edit
I am sending you this message in reguard to that you said that you would like me to keep you posted about issues here. Since I first messaged you, there have been some more "sensative" issues that should be brought to the attention of the school community (ablit in a civilised way). Firstly a female student had became pregnant and she was told by the principal that if she wanted to stay at the school, she had to have an abortion or she would be expelled. I was discusted to hear this, especially at a Christian school. There are still issues with the management stealing school money and spending it on themselves. Also, there was an issue with teachers going to the toilets to have a smoke of a joint between classes, and teachers were turning up to school stoned as a rock and unfit to teach. At our bi-yearly camp the principal turned up with a bag of pot for the teachers to use. During the night, these teachers were having "an old fashioned lesbians pot party" said one of the teachers, wearing nothing but a g-string and a bra.
Once again, these issues were covered up by the principal, even though they were well publiscised. Some of the student rep. council have tried to organise meetings between students and the principal to acknowledge these issues, but all we have got is the run around. Is there any advice you could give us?
I know that it has nothing to do with wiki, I would like to hear your input, since you are a knowledgeable person.

Thanks for your reply. Once again there are no sources (seems pretty sus. don't you think!). The school is always opening up their cheque book to help seal some people's lips. Apart from the wiki article, could you give us any advice about how we could have a civilised talk with the management about these issues?

Thats a good idea, but there's only one problem- the state minister's kids attend this school, and he has given large tax-deductable donations to the school, and they have been doing some dirty bookwork, or 'cooking the books'. I can't explain to you how corrupt this place is and they have everything covered up or fixed so they wont get caught. I don't think that by leaving it's going to fix the problem. I have less than one year left at this place, and I am not giving in to the corrupt and illegal management. Thanks for your advice. I have talked about things with my friends about what we could do about trying to settle these issues in a civilised manor, but all we have thought of is having a revolt and forcing the principal to resign, and making the school communist to get rid of all the bad eggs. Do you think this is a bad idea? The thing you said about the campaign is a good idea, but I don't have the support and the school would probably just kick me out for trying to uncover their corruption. Also, I'm not sure about to start a website, do you have any tips or advice?

I didn't know that there were any websites like that around, thanks for showing me that. Your idea about the schools board or parent council is good but a lot of the "problem parents" are members of these groups and they would never allow any changes that effect themselves happen. My friends and I were going to run for school prefects earlier this year, but somehow, we "didn't meet the criteria" of the school. It would have been good if we got in because the people who were elected are a bunch who just want to wear the $2 badge! The principal who is behind most of these issues personally chose these people because they will take all of his crap. I like your idea about the 'letter to the editor', if I wrote in, I know a fair number of parents and probably students would read it and it would have a big impact. Thank you for your participation in my RfA. It was definitely a dramatic debate that landed on WP:100, but ultimately was deemed a successful declaration of consensus, and I am now an administrator. I paid close attention to everything that was said in the debate, and where possible, I will try to incorporate the (constructive) criticism towards being a better admin. I am going to take things slowly for now -- I'm working my way through the Wikipedia:New admin school, double-checking the relevant policies, and will gradually phase into the use of the new tools. I sincerely doubt you'll see anything controversial coming from my new access level. My main goals are to help out with various backlogs, though I also fully intend to keep on writing articles, as there are a few more that I definitely want to get to WP:FA status. Hi Twenty Years, I tried to look up a source for you and have found that the District seems to be called Townsville Education District. Hi, I don't have a problem with other editors doing a clean up on a page but you have to understand that this page was crap until I went in and added more info etc and then I got an admin to look at it and re-rate the page and it was given the B rating that I and a lot of other editors were proud of, but now you come along and remove all the hard work that we did to get that high rating and put the page back how it was before, I hope you can see what I mean. I understand what your saying about the media part, I will look at that and see what I can do but I have to ask have you had a look at the Townsville page and how it goes on about the strand and all the places to go and see? all I did to make the page better was look at some of the other pages and see how they were written and then did the same sort of thing, this page was fine until one editor came on and made some stupid changes made me add a million ref's (you have to see that the amount of refs this page has compared to other pages is over the top) and got pissed off because I did as they asked, it really is looking like a pick on Thuringowa week, month, year and I am sick of it. I really do hope that you understand were I am coming from, oh and just so you know ....I may have Thuringowa in my name but there are a lot of other editors on here that use the name of the city/town that they live in as part of the name, and I have nothing to do with the council, I just keep getting told that because on my user name and that is very unfair plus it is a persons POV and as far as I know a POV in not welcome on Wikipedia. - your doing your best to stuff what was a nice artical but you might want to be careful removing ref's as i think it was your friend Thewinchester that went on and asked for a stupid number of refs to be added in almost every line, oh and i thought you were told it would be best to just leave this page alone until after March 08 when Thuringowa as a city will be no more and then editors with some control of themselves can make some changes to the page....also just so you know when i and some other editors added this info to the page i know that i used other page layout to know what should be added and how, but i see that you have your own POV on how the page should look, no matter what other editors think (again remember it had a B rating and now has no change of being that...more like a F. - Thats nice but did you look at the rating of the 3 pages you say are good examples...all 3 are rated as stub or start, are you getting my point....take a look at Logan City Council, City of Bankstown, City of Sydney, City of Lake Macquarie and Redland Shire Council you may see that these are a lot like the Thuringowa page. And just so you know the page was called Thuringowa city council some time back but it was changed to Thuringowa, then city of Thuringowa and none of this was done by me. You say that you have 'trimmed the article down to about half the size, removing all of the cruft - that is information not relevant to the area, POV pushing, and pure boosterism' yes you have and you have put it back to where the page was a year ago, when it had no rating no info and was a poor article, and you keep going on about this article is on a LGA, not a city, again you are ring it is a LGA that is a city just like a lot of the LGA's near Brisbane, is it really that bad of a thing to add info that brings the page up in the rating and point out info about the area....when i look up a town or city i want to know what it has what is there, what is being built now or soon, the same as if i look up a actor it will tell me what the has done, what thet are doing and what they are going to do....true...have a look at this page Beverly Hills, California it is a lot like Thuringowa as it is entirely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles (like here Townsville). please try to see where i am coming from as i am sure that you can but you don't want to. - At present City of Lake Macquarie is in far better shape than City of Thuringowa - it's not in any way like it, and contains factual, useful information from start to finish. B is actually a pretty low rating and has no official status, I would say Thuringowa is a Start personally because of the primary nature of most of the references. Redland has almost no references and should be downgraded. City of Bankstown is a crufty mess and shouldn't be used as a basis for anything. None of them would pass GA at present, but I suggest reading WP:WIAGA for pointers. Orderinchaos 05:46, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I think we need to re-think all of this - you show me where heritage railways are specifically educational again please? its a bit on the weird part of the clock where I am and I cannot remember exact detail from earlier conversation - I have some concern that heritage railways lines into educational as being a bit perverse :| SatuSuro 17:41, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK I have hit a number of wrong buttons for this time of the day - I would suggest that railway musuems are in fact quite different from heritage railways and their services. If you follow the logical line from the point you make on my talk page - I feel from my perspective that you are overstepping the issue - appropriating railway heritage lines into museums - sorry no go SatuSuro 17:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Heritage railways are not museums and they are inappropriate in education - museums or railway stations - ie fixed objects maybe - but I would gladly argue for any length of time that movable objects are not appropriate for this! - I can suggest a few mediators on this subject - our admin mates would be good on this - try gnanggara maybe - take care SatuSuro 17:51, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK its an operating railway and its not a museum so its wrong place - museums or fixed objects that attempt to explain or depict historical information are quite a different fish from the heritage railways of australia but no doubt someone will argue otherwise :( SatuSuro 18:00, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Your edit to my edit on City of Thuringowa edit
I'm sorry i left out a = at the end after fixing up the mess that was left down the page a bit. can i ask one small thing please, can you stop added the smart comments, as you can see that what i did was a minor mistake but yet you have to add comments like "how can sport be a subsection of economy" , "this is about Thuringowa, not Townsville" and "riverway, riverway, riverway". And also if you took the time to read what i wrote after my last edit you would see that i said i left the section heading so i can add some info back into it today. - Hi am all for what you say about using our talk pages a bit more I have been on wiki for over 3 years, but never had a user name before I started using the one I have now, so I know how things work here, but once I added a user name and done the same edits a few editors started on me, and it really is unfair to judge a editor on the user name. like I have said to some other editors...if I edit something wrong don't just revert it, come on to my talk page and tell me what it is I have done wrong and lets see if we can work out a better way of adding it or not adding it at all, I am a nice person but I'm sure you would be the same if every edit you did was reverted or changed around, had comments about your user name all the time, you would get pissed off, I'm sorry that I did but I am human and can only take so much before I crack, so I hope you can see where I am coming from..I put hours upon hours into the Thuringowa page to make it a really good page, I was told many time by other editors that I was doing a great job and to keep it up, and then the page got a new rating of B, and I was so happy that I had help to make that happen, so you could imagine my horror to find that almost all of what I have done had been removed and no one telling me why, I have always used other page layout so that I do this page correct (eg Cairns) but I guess I was wrong. I understand Thuringowa as a city will end in March but Thuringowa as an identity will always be here (and if you go by what both the local mayors say it seems Thuringowa is going to stay as it is, just not as a city but more like a satellite city and be run by the new Townsville council), much the same as Les Tyrell, I for one am lost as to how this page was allowed to be deleted, so what if he is the mayor of a city the will be no more (what if Tony Mooney is voted out and Les get voted in, plus the Les Tyrell page showed that 7 editors wanted it kept and 3 said delete, yet again it looks a lot like it was done to get at me and to say that it was copied from the Thuringowa website and re-written isn't that how most articles on wiki are created ....you look for the info change it around a bit add a few new words and take a few out, add the ref (the site that this info came from) and your done, even more proof that it was done to have a go at me because I wrote the page, hell I was even told well down by the editors that was just about to do a page on Les and he told me that I beat him to it ...very unfair.

- One of the ones I noticed was High Ash Church of England Combined School, which you tagged a day after I merged its content and changed it to a redirect. I think it would be best to leave the redirects in place, if only to prevent the pages being recreated. Patrician Brothers' College, Fairfield edit
Hi Twenty Years, If you get the chance would you mind having a quick look at Patrician Brothers' College, Fairfield. I seem to have found myself in an edit war with another user and don't want to break the Three-revert rule. The other user has added a list of current school captains which I removed as they are minors. They have also added a list of captains from 1959 until now which I removed as it is of very little interest to anyone. I've attempted to talk to the user but he continues to just revert my edits. Twenty Years, i do not intend on engaging in an edit war, nor do i intend on breaking the WP:3RR rule. however at the same time i do not want to be threatened, nor do i not want my point of view put accross. i find it unfair that i am being threated in violation of 3rr, when i am the person who has monitored and edited this page for over 7 months now. i am the one who authorised the addition of the captaisn list, and it was you who removed it. if i am in contraban of the 3rr rule, then you are also. I am not claming ownership of the page, so please dont suggest so,however if you wish to threaten me with banning, then it must be noted that you are the one who initiated the edit war, and with the assumption that we are all equal on the site and that your opinon counts for no more than mine, then yes, it is you who are in violation of 3rr
the addition of the list does not harm you in anyway. its addtin does not break any wikipedia law. i am willing to enter into discussion over this issue but i WILL NOT be dictated to, i ill not be treatened and i will not be told to comply with rules that do not exist. - I've deleted the Education project note from Law's talkpage - and also took out the "calculating prodigy" categorisation which had led to this - his adult gambling seems a weak basis for prodigy status. Hello Twenty Years. I was wondering why you made this edit [1] which added the education tag to the biography of this British actress. She is a long time favorite of mine but I don't know of anything in her career that would make this tag appropriate. That doesn't mean that it isn't - it just means that I am not aware of why it is. - Thanks for your note. The editor who added the educationsts cat to her page is on a wikibreak so I have emailed them asking if they have some info about why they added this cat. I think that it may have just been an error as there is no info on her page about her being an educator. I have taken the liberty of removing the cat and the project banner until new info that backs up their inclusion can be provided. Thanks again for educating me about this and cheers. (Third attempt at getting this response right) - thanks for asking about Mackenzie - I think you will find there are large numbers of alumni from public schools you will never heard of - even more so from the schools own books and sites - in some cases their own libraries dont even have adequate collections of their own alumni publications - and to check on whether there was a ref is a valid point - the article is but a shell of what it will become eventually - I had thought his article title was sufficient - bet I can find aquinas alumni you have never heard of who are either authors or otherwise who the school havent bothered to keep tabs of :) SatuSuro 10:32, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
