Previous account(s)?

edit

Hello, Fishmen123,

I was just wondering if you previously edited Wikipedia with other accounts. It is unusual for a brand new account to know things like how to make a userbox (or even to know what userboxes are!). If you have any questions about editing Wikipedia, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 20:19, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

No worries!, I have seen many tutorials on YouTube and on Wikipedia myself so I've almost adapted to making userboxes and stuff. Fishmen123 (talk) 20:22, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Trainrobber66. Thank you. Proper way to insert images in infoboxes

edit

Hello. I am @Archer1234. I noticed your recent edit to Binley, Coventry where you added an image to the infobox. I want to let you know that the way you added the image was not done according to Wikipedia's Manual of Style (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE).

When adding an image to an infobox, thumbnails should NOT be used. Simply supplying the file name will work. For example, to use File:Image PlaceHolder.png, you can simply use |image=Image PlaceHolder.png. Captions should be specified with the |caption= parameter. Every infobox is different and the documentation for the infobox in question should be consulted for the proper parameters to match the image and caption.
To fix

Do not use the full image syntax:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead, just supply the name of the image. So, in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg

and optionally:

|caption=Some image caption.

Hopefully you will find this information useful for your future editing. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. — Archer1234 (t·c) 15:27, 11 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Archer1234 ok thanks I'll use this information next time Fishmen123 (talk) 17:33, 11 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked as a sockpuppet

edit
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Trainrobber66 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Trainrobber66. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse. In addition, your ability to edit your talk page has also been revoked.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
