Speedy deletion nomination of User:FindinWhy

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:FindinWhy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Request reason:

I am new to creating a Wikipedia page. I just hit "back" then I can't get back to the editing page anymore. I'm sorry I'm confused with the new interface of Wikipedia FindinWhy (talk) 04:20, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

That is because the page was deleted: it was pure advertising. Drmies (talk) 04:31, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi admin! Thank you for the clarification. I thought I was blocked because of the previous reason I stated. Now I understand why I was blocked. I'm sorry that it looks like it was pure advertisement. My pure intention was to create a page to prove that my artist name "FindinWhy" was authentic, original, and real. With that, I know that one of the best way to prove that is to create a page in Wikipedia. It is never my intention to advertise in Wikipedia. My only intention is to contribute my information to Wikipedia. Thank you! FindinWhy (talk) 20:28, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a mere host of information; we don't have "pages" here, we have articles. Wikipedia is also not intended to confer legitimacy on any topic- if third parties use it for that purpose, that is outside of our control. Our only interest is in summarizing what independent reliable sources state about topics deemed notable by Wikipedia. You should use social media to tell the world about yourself. If you are interested in helping us build this encyclopedia of human knowledge, please tell us how. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 23:00, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your username is also the name of a company (FindinWhy LLC), which you stated on your userpage. Wikipedia's username policy specifically forbids account names that represent a company or organization. And, publicizing your existence to the world is promotion, whether or not you believe it to be. You won't be unblocked if your only interest is to use Wikipedia to publicize yourself and your work. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:39, 28 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
