Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Fashionistas. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 18:11, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to India Fashion Week. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ukexpat (talk) 18:13, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Fashionistas. J.delanoygabsadds 19:38, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please read the external links guideline. – ukexpat (talk) 19:55, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are spamming Wikipedia with links to your site and that is not permitted. You also appear to be operating two Wikipedia accounts (this one and User:Sanjiovani) - doing so to get around policies is also not permitted. – ukexpat (talk) 20:38, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have explained to you as best I can - this in addition to your other edits (to Fashionistas and those under your other user name) appear to indicate that you are spamming - see WP:LINKSPAM. If you wish to discuss this further, the appropriate venue is Wikipedia talk:Spam.  – ukexpat (talk) 20:53, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:31, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fashionistas

edit

Re your wholesale rewriting of the above see WP:DISAMBIGUATION. However, what you had written was no more than a glorified dictionary definition and that is not appropriate for Wikipedia. Take a look at Wikitionary, Wikipedia's sister project. – ukexpat (talk) 21:21, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fashionistas remarks

edit

I came across your discussions and messages. Allow me to add my 2 cents to the discussion because I think you're missing a few points. This might help to prevent misunderstandings. I hope.
1) Fashionistas is a film and the article about it has existed since 2005. You may not like it but that's what the film is called.
2) The proper term for a 'dedicated follower of fashion' is "fashionista". Not the plural "fashionistas". If Wikipedia would carry an article about them, then that's what it would be called. See for example hippy (not 'hippies') or teddy boy (not 'teddy boys').
3) Articles on Wikipedia have to be properly sourced and carry a neutral point of view. Your (reverted) definition of fashionistas didn't follow these policies. For example, you wrote "Fashionistas are the apostles of style and the glorifiers of the fashion guru’s and we are putting fashion on a pedestal in all regions of the globe." That's not the right tone for an encyclopedia.
4) The link you added got removed because it doesn't meet the criteria for external links. The site you added is nothing but a social networking site, with all due respect, and Wikipedia is not a collection of links.
5) The term "fashionista" is already mentioned (and explained) in the fashion and fashion victim articles.
Hope this helps, kind regards, Yintaɳ  (in old jeans and a T-shirt ;-) 22:18, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Sanjiovani for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Yintaɳ  14:45, 24 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
