Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, FaceFalt. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Epic!, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. RA0808 talkcontribs 20:54, 30 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Article moved to draft

edit

Hello, I recently moved an article you created to Draft:Joseph Ianniello. I strongly recommend you read WP:MOS and go through WP:AFC given you fall under the purview of WP:PAID.--SamHolt6 (talk) 18:06, 4 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Draft:Joseph Ianniello and WP:PAID

edit

I have moved your article Joseph Ianniello to Draft:Joseph Ianniello for a third time. Apologies if my edit descriptions were not clear before, but I am going to insist that you take the article (now draft) through WP:AFC in light of the content issues, WP:MOS issues, and most of all your status as a declared paid editor. Per Wikipedia's guidelines at WP:PAID and WP:COI, editors with a conflict of interest should not be adding content to articles or creating articles outright; rather, they should be creating drafts to be sent through AfC and requesting changes be made on an article's respective talk page.--SamHolt6 (talk) 15:00, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

FreshBooks

edit

I have reverted your problematic edit that replaced the entire article content with a company-approved version without explanation. Please use the talk page to suggest and explain the proposed changes one by one.

It is appreciated that you are disclosing your paid relationship as required by the Terms of Use. However, you should also be aware of WP:PSCOI, in particular:

Do not edit articles about yourself, your family or friends, your organization, your clients, or your competitors.

Looking at this talk page, this does not seem to be the first time you are violating this advice. Regards, HaeB (talk) 12:08, 10 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

edit

Hello, FaceFalt. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
