Welcome

edit

Hello FabianCarpena and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Princess Alexandra, 2nd Duchess of Fife, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Dl2000 (talk) 22:28, 3 July 2017 (UTC) Dl2000 (talk) 22:28, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Inappropriate moves

edit

Please undo all your recent moves and stop moving pages. Instead of moving pages without discussion, please use the Wikipedia:Requested moves process. Thanks. DrKay (talk) 07:10, 31 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Mary Elphinstone, Lady Elphinstone, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   Hello, I'm DrKay. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Prince William, Duke of Gloucester, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DrKay (talk) 05:29, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Prince Claus of the Netherlands. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. DrKay (talk) 05:30, 4 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, as you did at Edward VIII, you may be blocked from editing. DrKay (talk) 07:56, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.

You might get blocked permanently if you keep moving pages without discussion. I suggest you use the process at Wikipedia:Requested moves in future rather than moving a page yourself. Celia Homeford (talk) 08:03, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

To echo what Celia Homeford said above: your next block is likely to be an indefinite one if you continue. Stop making random and undiscussed page moves; instead use WP:RM for moves. --John (talk) 14:51, 5 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
