Week 8 / YC5039

For week 8, I assigned myself 2 article. The first one is Emoji, the link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Emoji&type=revision&diff=1085486596&oldid=1082128536. During the research, it explores the deeper meaning of emoji and the emotional connection to human potential. The second article is Instagram and here is the link to the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Instagram&type=revision&diff=1085518191&oldid=1085494674. As people use social networks more, social media platforms like Instagram have become the primary tool used by humans. In the process of editing the article, through research I learned more about the impact Instagram can have on humans, both positive and negative. My biggest takeaway from this Wikipedia extra credit assignment is that anyone can make changes to Wikipedia. In the past, I always thought that I was not qualified to add or change Wikipedia. It made me realize that the contributors of this content are not only from their workers, but also from the public, bringing together everyone's knowledge. I think I will continue to edit Wikipedia in the future. Editing Wikipedia is not only a source of more accurate and comprehensive knowledge for others, but also a source of more knowledge for yourself. By reading high-quality literature and summarizing the literature, I have deepened my understanding of things.YC5039 (talk) 00:58, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

YC5039, Nice article you edits you made, even though one was reverted. I am glad you found this assignment a useful experience. Let me know if you ever need assistance with Wikipedia in the future, and I hope you continue making positive and helpful contributions! --- FULBERT (talk) 16:37, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Week 7 / Nuts666

Hello, this week, I assigned two articles, the first one is Sina Weibo, Sina is one of the largest tech companies in China. I added more information about the features section. I added more information about the other related technology section. Here is the diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Virtual_dressing_room&type=revision&diff=1085540709&oldid=1083209911 I really enjoy sharing what I know on Wikipedia and making sure what I add to Wikipedia is accurate.Nuts666 (talk) 03:04, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Nuts666, Nice edits. Current with Week 7. --- FULBERT (talk) 16:39, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Week 7/Rr3961

Hi, this week 7 I edit two articles The Last Leaf and Letter from an Unknown Woman. The diff link of the first article:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Last_Leaf&diff=1085547693&oldid=1064828637.This is my favorite short story, which embodies the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature. The diff link of the second article:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Letter_from_an_Unknown_Woman&diff=1085549076&oldid=1076469293. I added some ideas about the background and expression of the novel. Rr3961 (talk) 03:49, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

@Rr3961 Your edits do not fulfill the Wikipedia policy of using reliable, third-party WP:INDEPENDENT published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy WP:RELIABLE. Always use a reliable source, such as to an academic journal article or other high-quality reference as discussed in the assignment and in class. Avoid blogs, corporate websites, reviews, press releases, and opinion pieces as they generally do not count as reliable sources. Please either assign yourself two different articles and add a credible source that is needed to them or find and cite more reliable sources to the ones you edited. Complete this by Monday, and ping me here when done and I will review. --- FULBERT (talk) 16:43, 1 May 2022 (UTC)‍

Week 8/Rr3961

In this week 8, I added a photo for Zhumadian West Railway Station, which is located in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, China. It is a passenger station on the Beijing Guangzhou high-speed railway. The diff link is:https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zhumadian_West_railway_station&diff=1085551933&oldid=1081294719. As the end of the course, I think my learning experience in Wikipedia is very pleasant. I learned how to quote effectively for reference. I think Wikipedia is a very good platform. So in the future, I will continue to use Wikipedia for research. Rr3961 (talk) 04:17, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

@Rr3961 Nice image you added, and glad you found this assignment a useful experience. Let me know if you ever need assistance with Wikipedia in the future, and I hope you continue making positive and helpful contributions! --- FULBERT (talk) 16:44, 1 May 2022 (UTC)‍

I added China's carbon neutrality goal and here is the link https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Carbon_neutrality&diff=1085487971&oldid=1085183262. --Bunnyw0123 (talk) 20:55, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
