Buena Vista edit

Technically, that's original research; besides, it could just mean that Disney hasn't updated the footers on Go.com lately. Trivialist (talk) 12:27, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

HP Touchpad tense edit

What, have all HP Touchpads turned to dust? Are they all gone? Have they run down the curtain and joined the Choir Invisible? They're not past tense. Their production is past tense, but they continue to exist. - Denimadept (talk) 03:01, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Three things. Funny. Mine has. Well some tense has to be changed. Evoogd20 (talk) 01:19, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hah. Mine still works, for those few things I've found I use it for. It's sad. Got me thinking seriously about looking at a Surface. - Denimadept (talk) 02:13, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

"Have they run down the curtain and joined the Choir Invisible?" I lost mine. Get two surfaces! Evoogd20 (talk) 02:27, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Just in case?  :-D My Touchpad rarely goes anywhere other than the gym, where I use it as a video source while on aerobic equipment. - Denimadept (talk) 02:39, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well. I have two iPad minis and I lose them all the time. Evoogd20 (talk) 03:05, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

For real work, I use my MBP. As a touch-typist, I really prefer a keyboard with physical feedback. - Denimadept (talk) 04:19, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I use a combination of iPod Touch, HP TouchSmart, nabi 2, & a kindle touch. Evoogd20 (talk) 13:10, 9 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Furby edit

Replying to Furby as you asked me to. I suppose it does seem odd to have two pictures in one infobox. Therefore, I propose to move the older image into the text of the article, as part of toy's history. There are many different varieties, after all. Sno-Balls edit

Thanks for your message' but if, as you say "I trust Yahoo! with my life." I suspect you may not live long ; )

The reference you gave [1] on Yahoo! Voices Mobile is to a "Consumer Product Review". Anybody can write such a review, and it could be entirely made up, so Wikipedia does not consider such reviews to be a "reliable source", in exactly the same way that you cannot cite a Wikipedia article as a source, because anyone can edit a Wikipedia article.

If you want me to quote "policy" then read WP:SELFPUBLISH which states:-

Anyone can create a personal web page or publish their own book, and also claim to be an expert in a certain field. For that reason, self-published media, such as books, patents, newsletters, personal websites, open wikis, personal or group blogs, Internet forum postings, and tweets, are largely not acceptable as sources.

You say "I have other sources I could put in" - assuming they are reliable sources why did you not use these?

CSD edit

"too short" is not a speedy deletion criterion==the only acceptable criteria are those listed at WP:CSD, and they are applied narrowly. DGG ( talk ) 20:44, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

February 2013 edit

Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Minecraft Style. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Cindy(talk to me) 19:59, 16 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Article Feedback deployment edit

Hey Evoogd20; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:21, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 30 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Big Bang Theory, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TBS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:Clan chat example.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Clan chat example.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:05, 3 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Jordan Maron.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Jordan Maron.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 10:56, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Clan chat example.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Clan chat example.jpg, which you've attributed to unidentified computer game. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:30, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Manga High edit

Hello Evoogd20. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Manga High".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Manga High}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:17, 3 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
