Survivor cast pages edit

Just so you know, Survivor cast members usually do not get a page unless they do something notable on the show, which for the most part entails doing something above and beyond that of most other contestants, usually by going far in the game. I would recommend refraining from making any more cast pages on Survivor: Guatemala until further along in the show, as they'll probably all end up going up for deletion at this time (excepting Gary (somewhat notable before), Stephenie and Bobby Jon (who were both notable in the previous season). SonicAD 22:48, 18 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

- OK, just made them earlier because I was bored, but I'll refrain from doing anymore.

  • Let me know if a Survivor contestant comes up on articles for deletion. I will vote to keep them on Wikipedia. I think that they ALL are notable for being the star of a U.S. television show. They all are household names to me. Royalbroil 04:59, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards edit

WikiProject NASCAR needs your help! We are in the process of forming our proposed standards which, when complete, will hopefully become a Wikipedia guideline. The guidelines will help editors understand Wikipedia consensus about things like which NASCAR-related articles meet notability standards. Please stop by and let us know what you think! '78 draft edit

Hey, no problem. to mke things a little easier on yourself, you don't need to link players who have never played in the NHL as they aren't notable enough to have their own article in most cases. Of course, if they played in the WHA, then they are worthy enough to have their own article and do need to be links to. Also, to make things easier, you don't need to put a link with each team every time. Once or twice per team is fine. Keep up the good work!! Masterhatch 20:03, 20 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

lol, i didn't mean you had to go and remove links on the '78 draft article! What i meant was that, to save yourself time, next time you do a draft article, you can save the extra buttons pushed and not link all of the teams all of time. Anyways, great job you have done. License tagging for Image:X-entertainment.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:X-entertainment.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:X-entertainment.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:X-entertainment.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 11:10, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:The Force net.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:The Force net.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:33, 18 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Power God moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, The Power God, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:The Power God edit

Hello, Electricbolt. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "The Power God".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:11, 28 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
