I have marked your talk page with 'help me', so someone should come and help you. You do not need to keep posting to my talk page. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:46, 12 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
It's not that easy to change certain things in infoboxes such as this one, I've made the edit for you. You should familiarise yourself with templates - a lot of wikipedia articles rely on them. In this case its the Template:Country_data_Japan template, which has several options you can append to it - naval being one of them which returns the 'rising sun' flag as an icon. I'd suggest making a sandbox page at User:Eight-Nation-Alliance_fan101/Sandbox and doing some test edits there to see what you can do. To use a template initially, use curly brackets ({}) i.e. {{navy|Japan}} to make   Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force
Hope this helps for now. Alex J Fox(Talk)(Contribs) 23:53, 12 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Eight-Nation-Alliance fan101, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Battle of Augusta (1862) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mojoworker (talk) 05:43, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Lloyd FJ 40.05 edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Lloyd FJ 40.05, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.wwiaviation.com/Lloyd.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Lloyd FJ 40.05 edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lloyd FJ 40.05 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.wwiaviation.com/Lloyd.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Speedy deletion nomination of Action at Abraham's Creek edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Action at Abraham's Creek requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Speedy deletion nomination: Help:Skirmish at Arkadelphia edit

A tag has been placed on Help:Skirmish at Arkadelphia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia as a non-controvesial maintenance deletion for the following reason: "This redirect may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because: This is not a help page. The user who created this also created a double redirect with the title "Skirmish at Arkadelphia" without the Help category prefix. The bot fixed the double redirect but the process left this meaningless and unhelpful help page. "Skirmish at Arkadelphia" still exists, although it may be subject to objection."

The article Skirmish at Aberdeen, Mississippi has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ____________________________________

I came across the article when working on pages. While I've been looking for sources to expand it, I struggled to find them. It doesn't seem like it meets notability. I nominated it for deletion. Here's the reason I wrote:

When searching for Skrimish at Aberdeen, MS, many references seem to be circular back to Wikipedia and Wiki-like sources. The NPS.gov site simply lists it from a book in 1908 that gives little details. I'm also unable to find secondary sources that go further than simply listing the article. The only in-depth source I've found was a collection of primary sources written by the belligerents called The War of the Rebellion: A Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies.

I wanted to let you know, so you could look it over.
