editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Joyce DiDonato has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bblogspot\.com' (link(s): http://www.yankeediva.blogspot.com/) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Joyce DiDonato
editI notice that you have been trying to improve the article on Joyce DiDonato. Some of the changes you have made however are not appropriate for wikipedia. The first being the copy pasted material from [1]. Wikipedia has a strict policy against using material that is identical or significantly similar to another source. This is viewed as a copywrite infringement and all such material must be immidiatly removed. Wikipedia also has strict policies on what is considered a reliable source. Sources must be independent from the subject in question and reliable. DiDonato's website and that of his managers or record labels is not viewed as a reliable source as it is not independent of the subject. I would suggest finding sources in newspapers and other reliable sources for use in the article. For more info see WP:Sources. Also, the language used in the edits you have made are too self promotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and the language must reflect that. Wikipedia is not meant to be used as a form of self promotion or advertisement. For more info see WP:What Wikipedia is not and WP:BIO. For an example of a quality article on an opera singer see Harolyn Blackwell. If you have any questions or problems feel free to contact me on my talk page.Nrswanson (talk) 02:23, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.

User name
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: corporate names are not permited. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Thank you.
Hello EMIClassics, Adding overtly promotional material, complete with unsourced PR-Speak terms like "renowned", "acclaimed" etc. and adverts for forthcoming releases as well as link-spamming to pages where an artist's recordings are available for sale does a great disservice to the artists you represent. Such tactics reduce rather than enhance an article's credibility and can be spotted a mile away. I strongly suggest you refrain from further edits on the following articles in which you have a clear conflict of interest: Leif Ove Andsnes, Jonathan Biss, Emmanuel Pahud, and Joyce DiDonato. Thanks, Voceditenore (talk) 09:07, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Persistent copyright violation
editPlease do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Leif Ove Andsnes. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. This also applies to your additions or re-additions of copyright material to Jonathan Biss, Emmanuel Pahud and Joyce DiDonato.Voceditenore (talk) 11:26, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
