Speedy deletion nomination of Dwimalu Basumatary

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dwimalu Basumatary requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Adding translations to inappropriate pages

edit

I ran across your edit at Environment here, which seemed to add a translation of the word "Environment" which broke the link in question. In looking at your edit history, you seem to be adding translations from the Bodo language (I think) into articles. It doesn't really make sense to be doing this, unless the article in question has specific relevance to the language. Is there some confusion you are having? Other editors have been reverting these changes as well, so I just wanted to bring it up before you kept adding translations in other places where they probably don't make sense. -- Natalya 20:41, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • As a follow up, and to make the point clearer the translation you added at Basumatary probably does make sense, since it is a Bodo name. It's for pages that have no relationship to Bodo that it doesn't make much sense. I hope that helps, -- Natalya 20:43, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dwimalu Basumatary

edit

The article Dwimalu Basumatary has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Proposed deletion of File:Dwimalu Basumatary.jpg

edit

The file File:Dwimalu Basumatary.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 13:43, 1 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
