Re: Kiss the Lie

edit

Hi there. I've just closed the deletion discussion for these articles as "redirect to the band's article", and I saw your comment on the talk page so I wanted to explain what's going on. First of all, thank you making the page. I know it takes a lot of work to do one, and clearly you took the time to try to put together something informative. As you know anyone can edit Wikipedia, and anyone can make a page on anything. However, Wikipedia has policies on when a standalone article should exist. In order for an album to get it's own article, it needs to have been covered (normally this = reviewed) by reliable sources. Generally, this equals independent organizations with a process for fact checking. All major newspaper qualify, most magazines, etc. Generally, a privately run blog does not qualify because they don't have independent fact checking. Same is true for sources where users submit the information (including Wikipedia. That's right, Wikipedia does not consider Wikipedia to be a reliable source). So, while there were references, I didn't see the multiple independent and reliable ones we need to keep this article as a stand alone. I made it point to Candiria, so you type in the album name instead you will end up there. The article actually still exists. If you look at the top left, there will be some small print that says "Redirected from Kiss the Lie." If you click on that link you will see the redirect. If you then click on the History tab, you can see all the past versions of the article. If you can find reliable sources, there's no reason you couldn't revert to you last version, add the sources, and have a stand alone article again. Please feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 15:06, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
